Omg wjsn has been bringing IT!!!! The inky comeback i didnt like was 'Happy' it was so out of character.

I appreciate that this group leans so heavy into the 'Fantasy' concept with every release without replicating the same exact thing. This video was a bit weak for me though.

That being said, I think this is my favorite song of theirs since Secret. That pre-chorus sneaks up on you, and the actual chorus disappointed me at first, but the slight change in it's delivery during the end of the song won me over. The spoken word bookending the song was a smart choice.

I think Dawon had, what, one line in the first verse? XP

It sounds cute and didn't feel as heavily biased lines wise as Save me, save you but I'm still saying #JusticeForDawon

I need Dawon back in the central position she had during their debut era, quite frankly
lizanka23 8th-Jan-2019 06:09 pm (UTC)
this is why groups shouldn't be bigger than 7 members max tbh

I agree - seven is an odd number (good for dance formations) and gives everyone a decent chunk of song time. Nine can work if balanced well but line distribution was something I was worried about since the moment they debuted.

yeah the groups i end up stanning are usually 4 or 5 members just because you can really get a feel for their personalities and it feels like everyone has an important role in the group. odd numbers are of course better for dance formations. even when its 7 the line distribution starts feeling less fair. i mean how much can you divide up a 3 minute song? it becomes impossible to make it fair at a certain point but i guess companies really want to have idols that will focus more on acting or variety anyway even if they are part of a musical group

It was a concern with 12 members - especially with how Exy essentially got the whole second verse for herself - but then here come Yeonjung getting a LOT of lines and between her & SeolA everyone else gets screwed over in the process. Like if both of them have parts in the chorus WHY do they need lines in the verses too?

Dawon should've lead the second chorus and/or gotten the line after the second chorus that was Seola's. Not to mention always keeping her into the back or side of all the formations. Like, who at starship hates her this much and why?!

ok, Dawon's line is a decent length but she's still behind everyone for the majority of the dance. Like, give her an opportunity to lead the second chorus and better positioning Starship!

hmm it's good that Dawon had been involved in quite a big part of the dances, but she's always behind so I don't know if that's a good idea. and the routine for this song is very centre-heavy, the members at the side just seem peripheral

I have to say I quite like it, and it's been a while since I've liked their release from the first listen. the formula for the distribution is also pretty different from previous.

also happy at the amount of screentime that Dawon got!

Right now it’s just ok. It’ll prob grow on me, but right now it wasn’t memorable. The MV was just ok too, I figured I wouldn’t love it since the teasers were bland too

I love the song and hate the video. It’s meh for them.
dropthecrates 8th-Jan-2019 02:29 pm (UTC)
multiple lines for my short-haired queen!
done_na 8th-Jan-2019 03:43 pm (UTC)
The good:
- Its a bop!
- WJSN aesthetics have never disappointed. This is eye-candy.
- I usually dislike Luda in short hair but it works here! And Seola in ash is <3

The bad:
- The chorus is disjointed from the rest of the song. Its like it switches songs when transitioning from verse to chorus and back.
- Too much "rap". Like seriously, even Dayoung?!
- Choreo isn't exactly bad, but a let down after Save Me, Save You.

this vid seems kinda budget compared to their last few, lol. i like the song well enough, though.
lizanka23 8th-Jan-2019 06:08 pm (UTC)
the song is so good! i only listened to it once and already love it which is rare for me for kpop. but the mv looks like a rehash of what we've seen from them before
avrgaesthetics 8th-Jan-2019 06:21 pm (UTC)
well imma say it, this is my fave release from them! and i've enjoyed every release of theirs (even happy) but this one had me screaming...omg. but once again, my boo dawon deserves more!! she got the pipes, i wanna hear them starship tf! they looked great, they sounded great, and my gay ass is quaking
yxerin 8th-Jan-2019 08:04 pm (UTC)
we love a group with a (mostly) consistent concept and identity. the chorus has to grow on me a bit but the "la la love"-part is truly an earworm. the pre-chorus rap kinda goes off, i usually find that sorta stuff cringy so i'm surprised that i like it lol. overall it doesn't top secret but it's a solid release. liking the choreo from what i can see, don't get why they gotta keep throwing in inappropriate boob-touching in their choreos tho (2:58)

anyways, wjsn never lets me down with their mini-albums so i'm looking forward to listening to that!
juhli 9th-Jan-2019 02:42 pm (UTC)
I liked SMSY more, but the rest of the mini delivers on that, so I'm here for it!
