I LOOOOOOVE this so much, the song is wonderful (HIGH NOTES EVERYWHERE), the MV is beautiful, I loved that they wore their midnight outfits as well! It feels like classic GFriend except with a level-up!!

and apparently the full choreo is INCREDIBLE so i just. i am a very happy Buddy rn

EDIT: holy CRAP the choreo is SO FAST

That part where they lifted up Yuju, whoa
myungung 14th-Jan-2019 01:54 pm (UTC)
damn, this choreo is like a Me Gustas Tu x Rough choreo level

I can't wait to see the 2X version. I'm sure the girls would kill it.

tbh this is prob my least fav choreography from them. there are parts that are absolutely beautiful but as a whole, it's not really working for me.

that being said---holy shit vocals everywhere!!! i'm gonna enjoy every single live

I like it so much, fits perfectly into GFriends discography!
Cant wait to see them perform it with the full choreo!

The piano melody at the beginning and interlude (eunha looks like a forest fairy!), the orchestra that steps in later and the deep drum line are all so good. The part where Yuju sings Haeya hits me with such a feeling of melancholy and longing.

SinB at the beginning and Eunha during the bridge sound a little bit too cutesy for the song, but that's probably a choice made during vocal directing.

Also, the girls look amazing!!!!!!

The first few minutes had me holding my breath because ooh piano and wow it looks like those old story-based japanese mvs... And then it takes a sharp turn to be a dance tune.

I mean, i guess that's what gfriend is known for, but dang i can't help but think how much lovelier this song would be if it were a bit more raw. Gimme a ballad or acoustic version please

That aside, choreography is amazing. As usual. I should have not expected any less.

Aesthetics-wise this may be my favorite from them yet, if not a veeeeeeerrrryyy close second to 'time for the moon night'. My only gripe is the switch to midnight(?) clothing because it looks disjointed and the styling cheap, but i can pretend those sections don't exist.

+1 for a ballad/acoustic version of this, I know exactly what you’re talking about and I felt the same way when the beat kicked in

Loving the visuals -- the warm make up tones, the pretty dresses, the cozy, candle-lit, rose-strewn home. I immediately clicked replay after the video ended to see it all again. I preferred if they stick to the house and the outdoors though, because the other dance sets feel empty and bland in comparison. The song's beat is pretty similar to TFTMN which I didn't really love as much as their older songs, but this one has different dynamics so let's see if it grows on me.

LOVE the aesthetics and esp the choreography as everyone else has already mentioned. The chorus part almost sounds like it belongs in a different song (kind of reminds me of Time for the Moon Night in a way?) so I didn’t really like it...until the final chorus part, esp with the adlibs sounded amazing. Def going to give it another listen.
dropthecrates 14th-Jan-2019 01:06 pm (UTC)
the harmonies in the chorus are lovely

Song: I LOVE it. Much faster and more upbeat than TFTM. It sounds amazing.

MV: cinematic and gorgeous.

Dance: GET OFF THE FLOOR. What is this Blackpink influenced nonsense of laying/dancing on the floor. But for real., I need to see the whole choreography to get a better idea.

Gonna go watch the showcase now.

it sounds like a TFTMN and Memoria mix. the MV is real pretty, and line distribution seems great! I didn't like the chorus on first listen, but now the Hae-Ya part is stuck in my head though

The chorus for this song is great, Yuju and Eunha’s high notes created excitement and a satisfying climax for the end of the song, plus Umji’s part toward the end was really nice to building that intensity :) and based on the live performance, this choreography is their most interesting in quite awhile. I’m glad their getting back to their creative dancing roots

My main negative would be the beginning with SinB is boring. I’m starting to notice that’s a issue, the songs are dull at first but then the bridge and chorus come in and remind me why I listen to them. I like the song but if I had to choose, Memoria wins by far. I hope they perform it like Twice ended up performing the Korean BDZ (...unfortunately lol)

ooh loving eunha's high notes! she sounds great there. the beginning of the song was boring but i really enjoyed it from the bridge on, and the mv is gorgeous!!!
yxerin 14th-Jan-2019 10:12 pm (UTC)
man they Brought it for this!! classic sentimental gfriend, none of that sunny summer fluff. the haeya part is a total earworm
the choreo looks interesting but they kinda dropped the ball on the dance moves in the chorus, it's so simplistic and static compared to what's happening in the song. ah well. umji at 2:38 tho? go off girl. she might be my fav voice in the group if we're talking purely about vocal color

Imo, this is their best release in a long while, if only for Eunha's amazing vocals. Her last part blew me away.

Some parts of the choreo look a little weird to me but I need to see it performed live before I make an opinion. They rarely disappoint.
