GOT7's Real Thai:
Ep1 | Ep2

the boys finally embark on their search for their first piece of luck, and also tour around the area. poor Youngjae gets the short end of the stick this episode.

Damn I also posted this ep today after I missed that it was out already for a few days, and I guess you were faster in the queue afhkjl. Do you wanna post the following eps also? I don't mind if you want to.

The Speak With Your Body game was so evil to Youngjae, I felt bad when they just took his bag like that! (I mean I guess I understand the lesson is not to leave your stuff laying around but I think YJ thought all the staff would make it safe).
Mark was unexpectedly smart this time around, I'm impressed.

The temple was amazing.

I thought it was a bit dumb the Korean members were missing Korean food so much they couldn't eat the Thai food, where's your travel spirit!!

ah sorry, i accidentally replied to you!

Ah sorry babe, thought you were too busy so I decided to help out. Idm continuing, but if you have plans for a series or adding in your own bts videos or twitter accounts then please posr according to your vision!

Re speak with your body, I was surprised nobody came up with elephant though! Mark was smart to target the fans definitely, while YJ was being his poor naive and innocent self
camouflagecat 28th-Jan-2019 07:37 pm (UTC)
Lol it's ok, it was just funny we ended up posting it the same time! Also I don't really have any special plans for the series. I even forgot about the navigation in my post 😅 I would most likely do it just like how you've done it so you can take over if you want to! 😊
myungung 29th-Jan-2019 02:04 pm (UTC)
I probably would only post during weekends though, so if you're able to do it on weekdays, then go ahead!
camouflagecat 29th-Jan-2019 07:27 pm (UTC)
Alright that's cool, in that case, I was planning on keeping a better eye on the schedule and get the post up before the weekend. I'll do that then.
mordres 28th-Jan-2019 05:24 am (UTC)
"...where's your travel spirit!" YES IA!!! as you know yj is my bias but when his wish was for a ticket back to korea i was like ?????? come on!!! i guess being hungry does that to you lol.
daynr 28th-Jan-2019 06:36 pm (UTC)
Mark being smart is only unexpected when he has to do Korean puns or Korean history!
yuujinchous 27th-Jan-2019 04:22 pm (UTC)
there are so many beautiful, interesting places in thailand that i'm probably never gonna get to see for myself lmao ;; but i enjoy living vicariously through got7 :') especially when they have someone like bambam with them who might be a fake thai heheh but still knows just enough about thailand's history to make it even more interesting! speaking of, i very much enjoy watching bam in this show. he's sooo... just... chill. and funny. and cute!!

mark was definitely a highlight of this episode lmfao he must have gotten off on the wrong foot or something but the way he bickered with jinyoung and kept complaining about how tired he is, his confidence but never getting any anwers right, etc. was sooo funny. and i can't believe the captions picked up what one user here talked about last time, about how he often gets ignored and forgotten. that camera footage of mark being out of frame cracked me the fuck up lmaooo

youngjae at the end, oh my gosh. i felt a little bit bad for him because i agree, he probably thought that whichever staff was around was gonna keep an eye on the bag but the fact that they just took it back into the train and left youngjae with absolutely nothing to his name... that's literally my worst nightmare dshlkg being stuck in a place where i can't read or understand anything or even speak, without money or a phone lhskgjgk poor baby!! but he made me laugh out loud at the end when he started scream-singing "nobody knows" on that ride lmfao but that said he's probably gonna take his revenge on the others soon so everyone watch out

one thing i found very perplexing was how much youngjae and jinyoung were craving for korean food in this episode. it's been what, two days, since they came to thailand? they can't even go for two days without eating their own food? i found that very shocking and honestly i gotta say, if i went on vacation with friends and they pulled that sort of stuff about missing their home food so much that they stopped eating local food, i would be very annoyed. not to be harsh but i honestly think that behavior is disrespectful to all the workers there who prepare and serve them thai food. i mean i know it's not that serious!!! but still. anyway.

other than that, it was CRAZY how much they were being followed by fans and regular people. holy shit, i could NOT do that kind of thing on a regular basis at all. i guess they are used to it but i felt a little bit of secondhand embarrassment from all that. and there were legit sasaengs among those people! like not just filming them from afar but legit walking in front or behind got7 to enter the same car or the same building or whatever. damn.

anyway lmfao i'm super excited for the nest episode, it's gonna be a lot of fun!!!

pepsi_twist9 27th-Jan-2019 06:54 pm (UTC)
I'm sure a bit of it was for the actual show too though. They didn't blur out the tube so they're probably sponsored.
yuujinchous 27th-Jan-2019 08:42 pm (UTC)
ah perhaps! i didn't think of that and i guess it would make sense too because i've never seen them act that way anywhere else before which is why it was so surprising to me in the first place :o
camouflagecat 27th-Jan-2019 08:03 pm (UTC)
I didn't wanna assume too much but frankly iawyc re: the Korean food! That kind of attitude esp while traveling is annoying and rude imo tbh (yes, even Jinyoung! I kinda side-eyed him like really? Lol)

But then again pepsi's comment does make me think it was all just a bit they played up for sponsors... kind of a dumb ad that came across a bit insensitive, but an ad nonetheless. Lol. Idk.
yuujinchous 27th-Jan-2019 08:44 pm (UTC)
yeah, you guys are probably right! i don't actually think youngjae and jinyoung are ~that kind of people so i was surprised and yeah, i side-eyed them a little too but it's definitely understandable if it's just some sponsoring thing.
nudrive 27th-Jan-2019 10:23 pm (UTC)
but if they were sponsered, why would they block out the brand name?
myungung 28th-Jan-2019 03:34 am (UTC)
I do think it’s sponsored, just probably not sponsored for broadcast? Like for a lot of clothing the idols wear or items they bring are sponsored, but it’s still blurred out in broadcast
daynr 28th-Jan-2019 06:42 pm (UTC)
I totally agree with you on the Korean food stuff, it's not ok. Even if it's fake, I don't think it's a good mindset to encourage?

ohcrepe 29th-Jan-2019 05:23 am (UTC)
I notice that they seem to do this a lot in Korean travel shows for some reason (and also linking every new food they taste to a similar Korean food). Probably to reinforce "there's no place like home" kind of thing :/// but there's gotta be a tactful way of doing it
daynr 1st-Feb-2019 04:01 am (UTC)
they do it all the time and while it's great to be proud of your heritage, you can also celebrate other food without diminishing your own. It's not zero sum.

btw, I am LOVING BamBam in this too. Usually he shows off his little brother side, so it's fun watching him being the knowledgable, teaching and taking care of everyone, and still being so easy going and chill. It's amazing, to seem to have that personality and still be such a hard worker.

I am the one who usually complains (not too seriously) about Mark being ignored, and I loved that he decided to be an open cranky pants this episode. His cursing and bitch face was giving me life!
mordres 28th-Jan-2019 05:27 am (UTC)
they're all developing a nice lil tan which is nice ^^ also bam's haggling was cute! i love me some deals too lol.

i really like how this is a variety show that's also designed as a cultural intro to thailand. i'm learning a lot and i appreciate it!
ohcrepe 28th-Jan-2019 09:04 am (UTC)
That lunch segment with the whole missing korean food thing was too stilted for me to be bothered by it because both of them are usually mindful of these things so it's obvious why us fans are surprised by what they said (they have been touring every year and Youngjae practically inhaled chipotle daily when he was in New York like??? they are definitely used to it)

Anyway, I'm dropping by to gush about the camaraderie between got4 and the mc hngghh they are so comfortable joking around each other and I love their banter! I came in for got4 but now I want all of them to be a regular thing ;;;;; I hope he would get to mc got7's future events
yuujinchous 28th-Jan-2019 10:54 am (UTC)
i agree about the mc! idk if he has experience with that kind of thing but i would love it if he mc-ed a got7 showcase once! another reality show with (all of) got7 would be amazing too but idk how likely that is :')
myungung 28th-Jan-2019 01:50 pm (UTC)
I too liked the dynamics of them 4 and the MC, especially YJ and the MC. it's also great that BamBam and YJ get to speak up more and have more screentime
daynr 1st-Feb-2019 04:02 am (UTC)
The MC is great, he seems like a nice man and is still funny. They all seem comfortable with each other, I wonder how much they know each other.

I'm living for getting to see these 4 together.
daynr 1st-Feb-2019 03:56 am (UTC)
They're so cute, and is such a pleasure in this series. Such a pleasure.

I do enjoy that Jinyoung keeps showing us more and more of his personality, the sassypants. And that the host can out argue him!

And everyone sees that Mark is ignored! To be fair, he's quiet and a bit awkward, and everyone gets ignored sometimes, but I enjoy him channeling his inner Yesung and just cursing because he wants to be sleeping.

Youngjae showing that idols really do lose real life skills.

I'm glad to be watching, but the Korean-centric stuff was rubbing me wrong today. It just seems a bit disrespectful to Thailand. I don't love the teasing of BamBam not being Thai either.
