The tour is sponsored by Kia and Blinks should remember that. Bc in addition to paying ridiculous ticket prices to begin with, I bet there will be advertising during the show just like there was at the Korean concert. YG's album sales are so shit they're making up for it by charging y'all to be advertised to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was really hoping the sponsor element would mean the prices would be more reasonable (like with Big Bang/Samsung) so this is such a letdown...

It's absurd. Like it'd be one thing if they just played commercials before the concert or sth, but apparently the girls have to talk about the brand during it too. I feel so bad for them because it comes off as unprofessional and shows they are seen as a group of CF models before idols. In America I've heard of sponsored festivals but never an artist advertising a brand their whole show...at least not anyone respected lol.

I really do think it's YG scambling to bring in revenue since his terrible promotional tactics have tanked his groups' fandoms. Idk if Winners world tour is sponsored but last I saw the American dates also had ridiculous ticket prices with grossly overestimated venue sizes sooo 🤔

Wow yeah that is really not cool for them or the crowd, having to push the product during the show is something you'd have to do at a trade show or something (and performances at those are free!). I don't get the overlap either, are Blackpink fans really the target audience for this type of product? Because we know that with these prices there won't be anyone but diehard fans attending these shows.

I must be out of it because I thought YG was raking it in with a Chanel ambassador and several commercial deals! It's so disappointing, I totally get being expected to pay more for a big 3 tier group but this is way too expensive for what we'd be getting. I really want to see them but even if I had the money I don't think I'd be able to justify it.

Right??? In the west their shows are mostly gonna be attended by college aged girls and younger, most of whom can't afford to buy damn car lol

BP def has a lot of CFs but I'm skeptical as to whether that's enough to pay for a tour of this scale when their album sales are so weak. Twice has toured only in Asia up until this point iirc, and their sales dwarf BP's in comparison. RV sells about what BP does but their world tour is much smaller, plus they've had a ton more releases. CFs for sure pay well but it seems like fandom money is much more consistent.

Especially in London where hardly anyone can ever even plan for a drivers license, let alone a car! Imagine if they did a smart partnership with a product people could buy and actually wanted. Like...make some freaking BP bumper stickers if it has to tie in? If I was ever able to buy a car and they wanted to sell me on this the only way they'd make it happen is if they offered Jennie as a personal chauffeur so she could drive me to all the secret idol dating spots.

Do you think maybe streaming money is becoming a thing in terms of income as well? They have invested in American advancement and their Youtube numbers are quite solid, I would assume they could make some decent money from Spotify streams too (but then again I have no idea how it works, I just know that the most streamed artists are getting the best deals).

I got an ad the other day for a chance to win free BP tickets so I thought there was some sort of giveaway but turns out you have to book a KIA test drive to get your name in the hat haha
