You literally have a group with only 10 songs in over two years. This is ridiculous

Winner and Ikon all over again?

This is ugly bc won't they be directly competing with each other for Best New Artist? Won't that cause more fanwars between the two groups? Won't this be used as justification for when YG ultimately drops the ball with managing two groups at the same time?

I think this second team will be japan based since YGE is always late on trends and realized the other big agencies are planning similar moves. Watch this turn into an NCT/WayV EXO-M/K thing where they just c/p one comeback into two languages and call it a day. They've already been doing that with BP since debut.

Do people even watch that treasure show??

I watched it because I was curious/craving another survival show to follow and YG was merciless. The poor boys who were in "team A" thought the whole time they would debut first before the 3 other teams because they trained the longest but YG just does whatever he wants and makes his decisions. He made it look like the audience or his staff had a say but the final decisions were so vague and its clear he already has a group he had in mind from the start.

It kinda reminds me of Sixteen where JYP pretty much had all the power and the girls were decided from the beginning but he had to make all the contestants fight and suffer for nothing.

yg is such a weirdo and i feel bad for these kids. yg is an incompetent man child who won't stop ruining people's careers cause he's protected by his brand.

Ikon and Winner are both squandered potential till this day and now this STD wants to do it all over? Meanwhile Blackpink still don't have a full album...

I just feel like this is Winner and Ikon all over again. I didn't watch treasure but it feels like the people he wanted to win didn't so he made a second group with the one's he wanted. But I did feel bad for Ikon because that not only had the first show they had to do a 2nd show to see who would be in the group. Wondering if he is going to do the same thing with these kids.

I love Winner and Ikon they both have different kind of music so I am wondering what kind of groups these maybe.

I watched Treasure and the people who won are pretty much his favorites from the start, even the one that everyone was like "huh???" made it because YG kept picking him over the other talented ones.

It is clear he is releasing another boy group to capitalize on the popularity on the ones he didn't choose and to also appease angry fans.
rainstormraider 30th-Jan-2019 12:53 am (UTC)
Uh, so I'm guessing he isn't satisfied with Treasure so they have to repeat the iKon/Wnner mess.

I still stand by my initial thoughts that iKon/Winner should've debuted as one group. And this is just more of the same.

The fact that YGE is tolerating so much incompetency at such a high level probably does not bode well for shareholder confidence. Is this agency sabotaging itself?
