Thoughts? I definitely didn't expect them to go on a world tour less than half a year after their debut.

this is sooo early but wow their fans are lucky. i wish other groups would add as many european dates as them to their tours

right? looking at it, I could go to at least two of the cities listed ... too bad I'm not a big fan of them but I'm really happy for their fans, it's amazing.
lydzi 20th-Feb-2019 06:45 pm (UTC)
Such good cities ! I need to check on them.

It’s definitely becoming a strategy that’s more common now with rising/new groups to go abroad ASAP for small tours. I fans are more inclined to spend money to see even groups they only know one or two songs of just because they’re in town and then the groups also benefit from having these tours as bragging/pr notes for their next k comeback. Also gets them earning money more quickly than just relying on Korean sales.

KARD, ACE and a few others did it recently and it basically kept them alive for another 6-12 months.
donaldjdrumpf 20th-Feb-2019 08:02 pm (UTC)
what happened to KARD though? :(

And it kept them alive for 6-12 more months but then they couldn't sustain it? I also like ACE with the hot pants
vintage_boom 20th-Feb-2019 08:57 pm (UTC)
KARDs still kicking as far as everyone knows waiting for their next comeback. It's less that they couldn't sustain it but more it allowed them to the focus on Korean promos without the burden of not being able to afford anything, no one gets paid to be on music shows but everyone needs wardrobe/sets/screen animation. shit's expensive and they'd make more money doing a tour than doing a makestar or crowdfunding campaign.

now that NA has a couple well established and agency verified kpop promoters more acts are willing to come over
donaldjdrumpf 21st-Feb-2019 05:22 am (UTC)
Fascinating, I'm glad they're coming over!

I still think DSP dropped the ball with their comebacks though. They absolutely should have had 2-3 comebacks in 2018 to keep up their momentum as a rookie group...I mean where was all that tour money going?? Unfortunately one cb a year doesn't cut it anymore for groups with small fandoms. I also think they had no long term plan for the creative direction of the group because their concept got stale to ppl pretty quick. It really sucks bc I had a lot of hope for them but barring some freak viral moment happening I don't think their future looks too good.
goshipgurl 20th-Feb-2019 07:44 pm (UTC)
why are all these nugu groups going on world/european tours while established artists take forever to come overseas
jaelissi 20th-Feb-2019 08:21 pm (UTC)
Spending all this money on lackluster tours, complain that there's no money for a comeback and disband after 2 years of silence
mc1a 20th-Feb-2019 09:54 pm (UTC)
Yaaassss. They have bops and I love their energy and charisma on stage. Also, their MVs? Flawless. So I’m gonna go. Epik High has cheaper tix for the same venue in Amsterdam tho 👀

Just saw MyMusicTaste on the poster /sigh. Why can’t I have nice things?

They have 36 minutes of music, what the hell are they gonna do at all these stops?
dallinferno 21st-Feb-2019 08:21 am (UTC)
I mean ... BP also has only 9 songs, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess they're both gonna make it work.

I'm guessing they're gonna do some covers or solo stages or something ...
veep_throat 21st-Feb-2019 12:46 pm (UTC)

They have dance covers too so maybe those

shazz_chan 21st-Feb-2019 06:45 am (UTC)
Well I'm psyched, I just got into them and I'm READY :D Glad I made the London gig before it was announced so I get presale.... To see Hongjoong and his fabulous mini mullet in person, ah...
alissee 21st-Feb-2019 08:01 am (UTC)
Gotta check them out right now, lol.
It'll be nice for once to get to a concert without the logistic hell of visas, passports, crazy exchange rates, middle-of-the-night connection flights and other enjoyable stuff.

/non-eu people problems
veep_throat 21st-Feb-2019 12:45 pm (UTC)
