Yeah, she's right about the price vs. quality. They're sold here at Eve&Boy and the prices were equivalent to the higher-tier makeup brands like Urban Decay or MAC. It really didn't match the packaging nor the quality of the makeup itself, which is pretty...it's not bad, but it's not outstanding either. In terms of marketing they really should be selling this makeup at lower prices (like, at least 50% lower), and at outlets that will reach their target demographic (i.e. young teens who are BTS fans) more, such as drugstores. They're not wrong for selling them at Eve&Boy, because this retailer sells both mass and high-tier brands, but it really should be on drugstore shelves as well.

As a nitpick though, cushions...this is my opinion, but, these Korean makeup companies need to stop selling them in countries with tropical climates. Most of the time the formula is just too watery and translucent to last in this tough weather and it disintegrates on the skin after just a few hours. Never got the appeal of it.

The price is quite high, I checked the palette and it's $45 which... I can have a better one with more shade for half the price @ colourpop. And they should target this price range (colourpop like) because as you mentioned the packaging, although cute is not that great.

Those ones are more for the packaging tbh. I'm on the verge on trying a rouge à lèvres but I certainly won't put money on foundation or anything. I do enjoy the masks from mediheal. They are quite efficient even if they are not my favourite.

Now that being said, I bought the Red Velvet's Etude House matte chic package and they are amazing ✨ The colors are great and it stays pretty well all day long. I'm really glad.

I'm tempted to buy some myself

I can't watch the video right now, so excuse my question, but is it really BTS makeup (as in their own brand) or is it just a limited edition with products that already existed before?

Also, since this is a makeup post: does anyone know a good bb/cc-cream with no alcohol, perfume or other fragrances? Doesn't have to have a high SPF cause I already use sunscreen.

I'm using the mizon snail repair bb cream at the moment. It's good, coverage is fine for me, texture is easy, color is smooth. I tend to have a very oily T zone and it moisturizes well so there's no dryness when I remove the make-up. It looks very naturel tbh. If you find the right tone color it's a great product !

Ah if you have a very very sensitive skin, my roomate uses La Roche Posay's BB cream. It's a bit more expensive but worth it apparently.

I just got done with 4 months of accutane and it's saved my skin.I can wakeup in the mornings without a disaster zone on my face, it's amazing.

Been trying out a lot of Klairs products and their supple preparation toner+midnight blue calming cream are amazing. Also just received the Benton aloe BHA toner today

i bought some colourpop stuff a couple months ago and totally love the creme lux lipstick. the matte is okay too, but the creme stays on my lips all day! i also really like their "dream st." palette. i even managed to convert my mom to their products, lol. she's in love with the "it's my pleasure" palette. :')

can anyone recommend a good charcoal mask? preferably one that i can just take out of the package and slap on my face, lol. i spent all my paypal money, so i don't really have the luxury of buying online right now. i live near walgreens and walmart if that helps? ;;

I think Biore does a charcoal mask that’s available in NA.

I love Korean/Japanese skincare but I refuse to buy makeup.
Unless it’s cute packaging or dirt cheap I don’t want to spend money on barely there pigmentation and a foundation range that is literally 3 colours. Until every brand is making at least 10 shade ranges for skin I’m sitting this out.

I like the lip tints and the eye liners and mascaras, but everything else is better at Western drugstores.

i've bought sooo much AB stuff lately lol. still waiting on a lot of it to arrive though.
i've also started using a prescription retinoid cream for breakouts and i feel like an idiot for spending so much $$ on skincare when i could have just been using this lol.
i'm having such a frustrating experience with SDM for an order that i never received. i don't think i'll purchase from them online anymore. it's been over a month since i ordered and i don't think anyone is even following up with my ticket.

current fave products:
- missha flash-up sunscreen. natural-looking but super glowy sunscreen? sign me up. smells strongly on sunscreen though.
- innisfree twinkle balm from the aurora collection. i'm trash for any sort of product with glitter suspended in a clear base.
- mac versicolour stain. SUCH an awesome product. vibrant, long-lasting and moisturizing. good dupe for ysl glossy stain.
- ysl glossy stain. never met a ysl lip product i didn't adore!
- 3ce eye switch in double note. shitty applicator but the awesome glitter makes up for it.

I'm always looking for a sunscreen, as I hate the feeling of sunscreen, so how glow-y is that Missha? the pics look very luminescent, which makes me think they're going for "dewy" but will probably slide into "oily".

Do you live in a place with is dry or more humid?
