Burning Sons mini news round-up

Park Han Byul’s husband Yoo In Suk, Seungri’s business partner and CEO of Yuri Holdings, arrived at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on March 14 to be investigated for various charges with recent controversies.

As a result, some netizens have been requesting for Park Han Byul’s departure from MBC drama “Love in Sadness,” which has currently aired 12 out of 40 episodes.

In response, her agency commented, “Park Han Byul is currently filming the latter half of ‘Love in Sadness.’ She plans on completing filming for the remainder of the drama.”

The agency continued, “Nothing has been discussed with the production team regarding departure [from the drama]. As of now, she plans on completing the drama until the end.

Park Han Byul announced her marriage to Yoo In Suk in November 2017, and she gave birth to their first child in April 2018.

The former Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Lee Sang Won denied that he is the “police chief” mentioned in the chatroom with Seungri and Jung Joon Young.

Previously, it was reported that there had been conversations suggesting ties with the police in a KakaoTalk chatroom with Seungri, Jung Joon Young, CEO Yoo In Suk of Yuri Holdings, and others. The word “police chief” was mentioned, making it unclear as to which “chief” was involved with those in the chatroom.

On March 13, current Commissioner General Min Gap Ryong and former Commissioner General Kang Shin Myung of the Korea National Police both denied any connections with those in the chatroom.

The next day, former Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Lee Sang Won said in his official statement, “I have never worked in the Gangnam district of Seoul, and I am not acquainted with [celebrities including Seungri]. I do not even know where Burning Sun is. In Seoul, I mainly worked in the main office. I worked at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and the Seoul Eunpyeong Police Station, and there is no possibility of [me] having a connection with them (Burning Sun).”

Meanwhile, Seungri, Jung Joon Young, and CEO Yoo In Suk started undergoing questioning at the police station on March 14.

On March 14, media outlet Sisa Journal revealed messages that showed evidence of Seungri engaging in habitual gambling abroad and providing sexual escort services to his business partner.

The messages revealed by the outlet included two participants, Seungri and his business partner from 2014 known as “A.” In the conversation, the two are discussing how much money they have each won from gambling. Seungri begins, “I won 200 million won (approximately $176,260)^^ You will also win big!!” In response, “A” says, “Okay~^^ I only need to win enough money to travel.”

“A” continues, “When are you leaving L.A.? [Are you heading over to] Shanghai or Japan?” Seungri answers, “Which hotel are you staying at? I’m returning to Korea around 11 p.m. today, and then I will go to Japan right away.”

Because South Korea follows the Territorial Principle, Koreans can be punished for gambling abroad even if the act is considered legal by the local laws.

In another conversation that Seungri and “A” allegedly exchanged in August 2014, the two appear to be discussing about which woman they should bring to their trip to Indonesia. The report further revealed that Seungri presented photos and information about the ages, jobs, and personalities of various women, and asked his business partner to choose a woman.

Seungri says, “No. 1 doesn’t talk a lot and likes money a little too much. She was also not very charming while getting drinks together. However, her visuals are great.” He continues, “No. 3 … her visuals are great and she is cheerful. She is also good and fun when we are out to drink. One flaw is that she is a mess when she’s drunk.” Seungri concludes, “I think No. 3 is good because she is bubbly.”

“A” asks in response, “What about No. 2, 4, and 5? Do you think we should meet up with one from No. 2, 4, and 5 one more time without No. 1? We need someone who is bubbly like No. 3.” Seungri replies, “No. 5 is good too.”

On March 14, Seungri arrived at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to undergo questioning for charges including violating the law on the punishment of prostitution mediation for the second time. Upon his arrival, he delivered an apology and said he will be participating in the investigation with truthful responses.

Seungri committed all the crimes one can at this rate. Also Park Han Byul have the worst luck in men. Did she really not know or question her husband's business??

Do we have Seungri linked to the chatrooms with JJY with the unconscious women and jokes about r-ping them?

Trying to keep it straight in my head.

Seungri reads like the worst written stereo typical "bad guy". Was this his attempt at street cred? Like I fully don't get it. He's got enough appeal that he could get women sleeping with him easily. It's not like he doesn't have money, he doesn't need the gambling. What a loser.

Does anyone know the connections between Burning Sun and YG? Initial reports were saying how it's more closely linked to YG than Seungri. Was that wrong or conveniently "forgotten"?

All the stuff around YG is a bit quiet, it makes me suspicious. I think he taught Seungri, who ran with it because gross, but I mean YG can't be clean.

Reading transcripts of KKT convos between JJY and Lee Jongyun, make me want take showers, what a gross scumbags.

And Seungri, really worked hard to break as many laws as possible before 30.

This is all just so sad. I don't think there will ever be a time where women will be safe. We will always be looked at as objects and not actual human beings.

question: gambling is illegal for korean citizens in general, no matter where they're located, right? i frequent a local casino (i don't gamble lol they just have really good food) and there are always multiple groups of korean tourists there. Sooo is it one of those things like as long as they aren't doing too much it doesn't really matter?
pseudo_shigure 14th-Mar-2019 03:52 pm (UTC)
i think it's more as long as they dont get caught. i mean if you're regular people there's a lower risk of you getting caught i think

I saw some even grosser convo transcripts from him out there...but my question is, who was behind him? He did all this stuff himself starting from his early 20s? My bets are on YG.
synatri 14th-Mar-2019 03:20 pm (UTC)
yeah this thing started when he was 23-ish? that's pretty young and i doubt he'd have started out without someone actively pushing him.
kcaomei 14th-Mar-2019 03:34 pm (UTC)
disgusting filth. i can't wait to watch them burn
merlugd 14th-Mar-2019 03:38 pm (UTC)
I dont believe this is about morals and gambling, theres a flow of money going on around this whole thing and nobody is saying where is it comming from....? There are authorities beeing payed and an a holding (?) that invests in what? With whose money? Like all of those guys admitting to know about the chat is too strange to me, it all sounds like they made deals but in exchange of what ? Anyway i dont think they only watched videos, those idol boys cant get enough of their own faces.
Im low/high key waiting for that mandatory SUJU member that should come out at any minute now lol. And also rapper and contact-list-enthusiast, Zico.
pseudo_shigure 14th-Mar-2019 03:54 pm (UTC)
so i guess this report and evidence about gambling and picking girls is from another source right? not from the one already in the corruption watch agency? lol everyone is pulling out receipt now. good.

In another conversation that Seungri and “A” allegedly exchanged in August 2014

Weren't all the chats they had from 2015-16? Have they acquired more of the chat history? Or has anyone else sent information to the reporters?
