i use a mix of japanese and korean skincare products (and cerave sometimes).

speaking of skincare, what's a good cleansing oil? I have a shiseido in the blue bottle and I'm running out, and the holika holika bb deep cleansing oil. The shiseido one is really expensive so I don't really want to restock it, and the holika one is very thick and goopy, when I'm only using it to remove sunblock and the occasional bb. I also had the DHC oil but found it very drying. I heard the muji one is good, but which one?

Have you ever used cleansing balms? It's similar to cleansing oil which you have to emulsify with water, but in balm form. I don't like how cleansing oil drips down my arms so I personally prefer balms. Pricey pick: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (they have the cleansing oil version too which I haven't tried), less pricey pick: Banila Co. Clean It Zero. Both remove my makeup well.

I’ve started using a topical prescription retinoid to help clear my skin and I feel like such a dope for spending so much on products for the exact same purpose. Why didn’t I just go to my doctor?

Hey pretty boy!

My current skincare products are an eclectic mix:
- Korean (COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule & Cream, Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, various aloe gels for my body including The Saem, Nature Republic and The Face Shop, also planning to try COSRX One Step Clear Pad and Secret Key Tea Tree Toner)
- US (Clinique gel moisturizer and cleansing balm, Kiehl's Micropeel Concentrate, Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion for cystic spot treatment)
- German (Sebamed cleanser and lipbalm, Nivea lipbalm)
- British (The Body Shop Seaweed toner)
- Japanese (Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence sunscreen)

I like French ones too -- I used Bioderma and it's great for makeup removing, and Avene for face mist. I'm also curious about La Roche Posay but it's not available in my local drugstores like the above two.

I use a mix of products tbh:

- Mousse nettoyante matifiante eau thermale Avène
- Oils of Life™ Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil Body Shop
and the - SOME BY MI - AHA, BHA, PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream

I do use other bunch of products casually, masks for the face or the eyes I think they are all korean/japanese. I just bought Purito - Snail All In One BB Cleanser because I love their bb cream so I tought I would give it a shot. I'll probably try at some point the Aromatica Orange Cleansing Sherbet, maybe this ummer since it will feel appropriate somehow XD. I really love the mousse from Avene tho, so it's going to be a tough one to entirely replace it in the long term. I just like to try and see.

I had previously the cream from Benefit triple emulsion. It does it job so it was all fine (and the package is sooooooo pretty) but it 's not my favourite. I though that the result was average considering it's price. Still a good product.
