These episodes gave us some of the best scenes so far, omg. So much happened and we're only half-way though the drama, I'm scared.

ep7
- I really hope Sungmo doesn't have feelings for Jaein but some of these scenes make me side-eye him and scared for that possibility
- okay so the dad didn't die but what! is! his! motive???
- I knew Ahn sent that kid with the candy and I laughed when the 2nd kid showed up
- screaming @ Ahn remembering the dream again
- doesn't like touching things but is fine touching dead bodies without washing
- Ahn just likes to run into things without any backup or precautions huh (re. the killer breaking into their home), this is why you get stabbed son
- okay so let me get this straight: Sungmo lied to spare Ahn's feeling when he ditched him at the orphanage, but he was gonna leave and never return SK, ended up staying BUT NOT BC of Ahn and now just keeps Ahn around bc he wants to use Ahn's abilities, wow great fake brother you got there Ahn
- So is Sungmo's mind closed off bc of his inability to feel emotions? that has to be it bc what else makes sense

- why is Jaein wearing a skirt while jogging
- "I remember everything of you", "your hands are co-owned", girl stop dropping these lines if you wanted to act aloof lol, also the slow-mo part after the co-owned line cracked me up bc it made no sense?? like it just came out of nowhere I CAN'T is this how it's gonna be like from now on
- Ahn is such a dork but I can also relate to gushing over someone and prob looking dumb while doing it I hate this asdfgh

- "am I nothing to you" and the pout after, this was so cute I am devastated

- I thought I'd be so clever to figure out the whole "inability to show emotions" bit in the book was either about Sunmgo or the killer, but then they revealed in right away it was both lol
- so are these subtle gay jokes like a part of kdrama humor or...

- anyways hard to follow the actual crime case bc tbh I can't remember the names lolz

- WTF! WAS! THAT! FIGHT! SCENE! ASDFGHJK that was the most absurd and unintentionally hilarious scene so far lmfao
- someone told me SK media has banned guns&tattoos from TV(??), which is maybe why no one has a gun lmfao but I can't help it there was so many other bizarre things going on, why would they all gather there to take down two kids?? Why does Ahn turn into a fcking ninja when he fights? why would the gang members let Ahn pass them holding the boss when he's unarmed?? and when the police swarmed the hallway and they had just batons on them I was fkcing done lmao

- when Jaein fell into Ahn's arms with the slow-mo again I SCREAMED THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE LIKE HUH
- but on one hand it gave us some cool fighting moves from Jinyoung which he did himself with no wires?? damn Peter Parker who? like the scene was dumb overall but his stunt skills were pretty impressive

Ya the relationship is weird. Seungmo can't really love/care for An as his little brother because he can't care and love at all. It's scary. No wonder he didn't visit An in the hospital after he got stabbed tbh

The only other thing that could explain Seungmo's closed-off mind is if he suffered a major trauma and has suppressed the memory. It could be that that trauma has caused him to disconnect from human feeling/emotion and that's why An can't get a read. We know the killer was terrorizing him and his mom before and they were on the run. I'm wondering about Seungmo's father or if that's him cuz if this is like domestic violence covered up by larger acts of domestic terrorism that's fucked up man. If that's the case then idk maybe Seungmo's kinda a psychopath and it's genetic??? idk just rambling thoughts

And yass at his stunt skills! Kinoung has been really charismatic in this role :)

I assumed Jae In wore the skirt over the tights to show modesty? *barf

ep8 (bc I hit the character limit lol)
- THE 1ST KISS
- she did the open eyed dead look while kissing which ruined it a little but OMG also their post kiss-convo was so fricking c u t e and now I'm just afraid what'll happen when they find out about how they're "connected" noooo I don't want any angst just happy times D:
- tbh I really like Ahn's way to handle things, he teases but never makes things uncomfortable (even if she's embarrassed lol) & knew when to push & when to pull back and how does he know just what to say, ugghh like Jaein girl u in trouble bc he might dumb sometimes but he makes up for it with the charm lol

- the police is incompetent and the officer dad is a sellout, what else is new

- even if Ahn was lying re: getting a read thru the kiss, what exactly had she been thinking about to give such a reaction asdfghjk GIRL (BUT ALSO MOOD TBH IMAGINE IF YOU WERE IN HER SHOES OH HELL NO LOL)

- maybe I'm projecting but Jinyoung plays the character so well, no wonder the drama pd said he was a perfect match

- why am I warming up to the crazy officer @ Jaein's workplace lol he's gross but also kinda funny idk

- now I'm really starting to notice the product placement huh

THE 2ND KISS!!!
- the whole scene at the park in the snow was beautiful idk I could say a lot but I have no words, I thought Ahn's speech about the snow was moving to the way Jaein showed him her emotions thru the clasped fingers, to the way Ahn looked at her and then just went for the kiss it was all just ughhhh, the FEELS and no dead eyes by the girl this time thank god

Did they not already find out they're connected? I thought An had made the connection that Jae In wa the girl that he gaves those candies to and told her like an ep or two later? And he knows her father is in prison for this shit, no?

A charming idiot is all I want. Someone I can control but is also charming and sweet lol, i have issues i know. I'm really not sure what seungmo's fascination with Jae in is but I'm hoping it's not love b/c I don't think he's capable of it. And the only way I'd want the detective and Seungmo to get together is in the end if his mind gets unblocked and he can feel and love and gain that human understanding and really notice her in that new light b/c as it stands he would be a terrible romantic partner for anyone,
donaldjdrumpf 5th-Apr-2019 06:03 pm (UTC)
I'm caught up now! One of the things I did not get at all is how they basically shut down the whole Hammin Home fire investigation on the word of just ONE eyewitness pretty much, Kim Gab Young or w/e his name is, and they clearly didn't even vet that witness' testimony at the time, because once An saw that Kim Gab Young was a killer they looked into him and like 5 minutes later they realized he has gang ties lmaooo.

Also wondering what the role of YSS Construction will be. Doubt it's the last we'll see of them. Too bad that detective's dad is corrupt af

Because the police suck in this drama lol.

.....Or it was purposely done and just a big cover-up for something bigger? *eyes-emoji*

same op, i totally agree with episode seven and eight having some of the best scenes yet! episode seven in particular i found very very entertaining. i was thinking about listing some of my fave highlights but it's all just scenes with lee ahn in them! heheh he really is the sunshine of this drama. and it's not just because he's played by jinyoung! i truly do love ahn with my whole heart. he's so sweet and warm, so straight-forward and honest, very caring and affectionate. i love him! some of his characteristics are gonna be his downfall, i know, like jaein straight up telling him that she's using him for her own benefit and he's like, i know! but even so, i love that he's sort of self-aware and smart enough to understand that people want him not for /himself/ but for his abilities and he's still okay with that. though it still makes me want to protect him from all evil and thus, to keep him far away from sungmo! lmao

i'm honestly not sure what sungmo's deal is, i just know that i'm liking him less and less! i hate characters who don't tell other characters, namely ahn, stuff that could easily benefit both parties. like he's keeping everything to himself when maybe, just maybe, if he told other people about what he knows, they could help? and also ahn totally deserves to know, i mean he was stabbed ffs!!! another storyline that i found very dumb this week: when sungmo looks through the security footage on his phone and sees that whoever spied on them had taken pictures of jaein as well so he gets all shaky (from anger i'm guessing) and his hands start trembling and i'm like... huh. i mean he is emotionally closed off right? so you're telling me the ONE time he starts emoting is not because of lee ahn (HE WAS ///STABBED///) but because of jaein? did ahn almost dying not impact him at all? he pretty much brushed him off after that accident and didn't even really visit him at the hospital like. does someone get me? i know it's such a minor thing but i found that sooo stupid. lee ahn should have been the trigger to activate sungmo's sharingan, not jaein!!!! kfhfdkhk

and also, i know some people find it fun but i HATE the subtle romantic stuff that they're trying to make happen between sungmo and ahn, LIKE THAT'S HIS STEPBROTHER PRETTY MUCH!!!! i mean it's cute banter but everything else is just meh. that said, i don't mind them trying to make the same thing happen with ahn and daebong lmfao they're such cute friends!!!! when ahn squished his cheek against daebong's lmfao AND THEN HE READ HIM dfkgfkhjd i love them

there is probably some other stuff i wanted to mention but now forgot but anyway, i'm just here for lee ahn! i don't even care for the murder case or whatever anymore, i just wanna see more of ahn and jaein being cute together! :> BUT ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE GIVE ME REAL KISSES WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!!!! NOT JUST DRY LIPS PRESSING AGAINST EACH OTHER!!! COME THROUGH TVN

I'm so glad there's someone else completely on the same page as me lmao I'm also 100% invested in the romantic plot and kinda meh about the crime aspect (I guess mainly bc it's hard to keep track of it for some reason and also things don't make sense)

I love Ahn's characterization!! (does it help that we have Jinyoung smiling his killer smile with his whiskers in full bloom like every other scene? maaaybe.) Ahn is just very likable and while he's portrayed a bit dumb in many ways he's also got tact and a lot of sense you know?? Just how can you NOT love him??

I hadn't even thought of that re: Sungmo shaking bc of Jaein, I think this was one of the things making me worried she has some "special place" in his heart or something, hell no (watch it be just lazy writing in the end or some shit, actually I hope it is), DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT AHN AT ALL? That boy can clearly handle it but it doesn't mean he deserves to be treated like that >:(

They probably put the Ahn x Sungmo jokes there solely bc they're both good-looking men and the fangirls can have a field day with it. Like, I guess I gave it a chuckle but it was also kinda superimposed? esp when Sungmo shows zero affection for Ahn lol *sigh*

The 1st kiss was a little lame, the 2nd kiss was also pretty tame but it fit the atmosphere, now I'm ready for more action lmao (and I'm not talking about Ahn jumping up the walls this time!)

i'm late AF cause i just finished the last ep so what can i say that has not already been said....

- i actually really liked their fight scene together even though it was obviously like absurdly unrealistic. i thought it was fun to just watch the girl also be a badass and not need (as much) protection (sadly ahn did need to like defend her). idk if that scene was a reference to oldboy or not? it's kind of hard for a fight scene in a cramped hllway against tonnes of dudes in a korean show to not bring that famous fight scene to mind.
- considering that seongmo knows everything about the antagonist, including how he plans to ruin everyone seongmo cherishes, he has done a PISS-POOR job of protecting any of the people that he cares about lmao.

also i know this shit ain't subbed but jinyoung and yeeun are so cuuuuuute I'M SHIPPING ISTG (highly recommend watching these for cuteness):

there are lots of these on the tvn drama channel so i won't post all of them.

If there was ever a time to warn people about your dangerous stalker dad, when he's breaking into apartment, filming your girlcrush, and stabbing your little bro is a a GOOD time Seungmo.

The fight scene was ridiculous, but at least she was also fighting. They make it look like punching someone doesn't hurt though.

Ty for this and the other vids<3

caught up with the show this week, and able to join the discussion (albeit very late).

I actually like Jisoo's interaction with Yian and Jaein, maybe because of the lightheartedness. the show does better in its lighthearted moments definitely. I also think Jinyoung does better in these scenes? (the one in the taxi where Jaein is hyperventilating came off a little weak compared to the other scenes)

but no to the possible love that Sungmo has for Jaein? It's so weird and isn't he supposed to be emotionless though. But big yay to the love story developing so fast!
camouflagecat 7th-Apr-2019 04:38 pm (UTC)
I do think Jinyoung's getting better at the lighthearted scenes as the show progresses! Tho I also often think those types of scenes are often written to be too OTT for my taste. In the serious scenes he tends to fall less into over-acting/reacting and it just looks better from my pov.

I'm finally watching this show and first off, I love all the dark lippie on the ladies. (On Lee Ahn.... dunno)

Also, wtf with Lee An blaming her for him initiating their first kiss. That was some bs. No one else seemed bothered by it, but dude, you sprang it on her and then acted like it was reasonable in the setting. It really wasn't cool.

But I do like that he's an upbeat, cheerful dumbass who lets things go. It's way better than the usual perfect chaebol tsundere who wants to buy everything. they could maybe tone down the fact that he's a special forces ace at everything physical, but he seems to have more emotional intelligence than I initially thought.

I am actually tracking the murder/fire/stalker mystery and I think it's getting more interesting. Having them all connected, and most importantly getting to see tenage Seongmo makes the story a lot better. I want more of that actor, his (underage) voice is yummy.
