TXT Announce "Showcase: Star in US"

Source: Big Hit

So it's basically a US tour? Well that's fast.

I guess they're not coming to kcon?

Playstation theater currently has the price range at $50-$75 which seems like a good price for a rookie with just a mini album.

Their Chicago date also apparently overlaps with BTS's so I'm interested to see how that goes.

I was hoping May 12 was a typo 😤

I was kinda hoping for them to be Bts opening act but this is better. They need a fandom other than Army.

Really? With 5 songs?
vintage_boom 9th-Apr-2019 12:54 am (UTC)
to be fair Tiffany did a showcase tour with like 2 songs. it's more of a fanmeet with games and questions. their US label ties prob wants them stateside asap.
infj23 9th-Apr-2019 02:41 am (UTC)
Ah. Fanmeet makes so much more sense.
carmine_pink 9th-Apr-2019 06:05 am (UTC)
Some groups call it fancon - fanmeeting concert, so more heavy on the talks/games especially if they don't have too many songs yet.

KARD did their first US tour with 4 lol, the rest was all games with the audience and doing covers...I think they called that a showcase too
infj23 9th-Apr-2019 02:56 am (UTC)
Huh. I didn't realize KARD toured the US.

Now that I realize the purpose of this event I get it now and 5 songs seem much more acceptable lol

i remember that tour and i wanted to go but i couldn't justify going all the way to dc from nc for 4 songs lol..... i'm seeing them in tokyo in 2 weeks but they've got more songs now so it's worth the money this time (and it wasn't even all that much)

The Orlando date works out pretty well for me. I might go...
dongsaengkiller 9th-Apr-2019 02:00 am (UTC)
I can drive to Orlando but definitely not on a weekday ☹️
edanz_castle 9th-Apr-2019 02:09 am (UTC)
A tour already?
Nice to see the Orlando date but wont be attending due to NCT and other concerts...
thatchicksaywha 9th-Apr-2019 03:31 pm (UTC)
the hell is this?! "showcase tour" lol more like a way to milk money from fans (me included)

i guess more and more kpop agencies are realizing that kpop fans are willing to pay shitloads of money to see their faves, which kind of sucks bc if you're a fan of multiple groups you're probably going to paying hundreds of dollars this year bc kpop concerts are always ridiculously expensive.

im honestly really not a fan of overpriced us kpop concerts becoming more of a thing... fans shouldn't have to pay a $60-70 base price to see their faves
mattemate 9th-Apr-2019 04:05 pm (UTC)
ngl im bitter that of all the kpop groups to finally come to orlando (i cant justify the money for travel to miami) its one that has such a small discography
shazz_chan 9th-Apr-2019 05:43 pm (UTC)
On one hand I want them to come to Europe, but on the other I'm already waiting for NCT 127 + MX + Sunmi to announce dates/ticket prices here and well... My wallet has cried a lot this year.

playstation theater is a nice venue so kudos to bighit for that one.
