Congrats to them! It really is world domination now. It seems like they're being played more in europe on the radio this time too and not just north america

I've never heard any BTS songs on the radio here, but I did once at a PINK woman store (apparently they have the same song list throughout Europe)
I do listen to BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) in the car, and I've always hoped they'd play at least one BTS song, but so far nothing. Let's see if things will change.

you're more likely to hear them on radio 1 or capital. capital has added them to their playlist and they've been radio 1's tune of the week

One of my coworkers gave me a ride home today and as we were leaving the parking lot he turned the radio on some Dutch station and all of a sudden the MC mentioned BTS and Halsey’s spot on the chart with BwL and then played a snippet of the song. That was such good timing. I was speechless for a few seconds.

From K-pop Legends to Global Legends!! Congrats boys, the sky is truly the limit. So happy this happened to a group that are A) Nice people (imagine if it happened to iKon lolol), and B) are from a smaller agency. What an achievement.

I can’t imagine all the executives in the Big 3 right now that are seething and/or scrambling to replicate their success. Well, I can, but I’m also curious about the conversations behind closed doors.

I feel like bangtan/bighit popularized the use of youtube/social media esp predebut which I feel like many companies, including the big 3 are now doing as well. Their predebut logs were instrumental in getting them a solid fanbase because I guess in a way it allowed fans to connect with the members and I notice that companies are pushing for more predebut content to garner a fanbase for their groups.

ITA and ofc other companies would try to replicate a successful formula, but now that everyone's doing it it doesn't really stand out as unique anymore. Replicating the formula is one thing, but replicating the success is another. You're right, we're now drowning in content.

Another thing BigHit did though was give the boys genuinely good music (imo) for at least like the first 4 years of their rise. Accessible to i-fans and k-fans, catchy, had their own musical identity, etc. I feel at least BH so far have done that with TXT but it's impossible to predict who the next breakout act will be (outside of Produce 101), just such a competitive, saturated market.

Yeah every company is trying to do a bangtan bomb/episode style series for their groups and it just doesn't feel fresh anymore. Bighit basically took all the good ideas and left nothing for other companies to work with lol.

As a side note, I think they need do go back to running the show in terms of song writing/production etc. Their sound was more solid and less pop influenced without foreign producers and songwriters.

You know they're seething haha. I'm not sure how long its gonna be before another BTS comes along though in terms of global success on that scale. BigHit had a brilliant content strategy, but one that is no longer original/unique and BTS released good music, but it was also partially luck with 1D disbanding and their fans looking to migrate, plus there hadn't been much dance in western pop music recently and BTS brought that in spades which helped them I think.
