I didn't know they were doing something like this!!! Really cool. Maybe in a year or two they'll get a 60 Minutes piece as well

i really hope other members besides rm will get to answer questions and they will put subtitles on for them.

slightly ot, but their schedule in korea right now is crazy. why are they doing some unknown award show and opening for some water sports games, plus tons of music shows that take many hours to record? they could have just done a couple music shows like they did for idol, and the rest could just be fan meetings. they're already household names in korea anyway. they still need to rest before their stadium tour too, and they're getting injured already from that dionysus choreo. i was so glad to see the more laid-back bwl choreo too and yet that didn't last for too long

Ia with you about music shows, and I don't think they need to be doing fanmeetings beyond the annual Muster anymore either. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember Exo or Big Bang doing them at their peak.

And omg FUCK all these new no-name awards shows that crop up every year, we don't need them!!! Awards season already lasts from late November to early February now, why the fuck does every company want to waste their groups' time with all these irrelevant events? It's seriously obnoxious. Like stop entertaining this nonsense lol

I agree about their schedule.
Unless they are getting paid millions they really need to be on vocal rest before their stadium tour because most of them seem to have vocal issue intermittently during their lives.

They're still Big Hit's main group so they can't afford to offend any of these shows and jeopardise the relationship for when they want (or need) future groups to perform at these I think.

to everyone asking why are they working bts to the ground: seokjin enlists next year. which means the rest will follow year after year.

theyre trying to take advantage of their popularity now.
lil_poisonfrog 21st-Apr-2019 04:51 am (UTC)
I keep hearing conflicting info about this lol. I thought it was by summer 2020 at first but then I heard he doesn't have to enlist until after he turns 28 international age, before he turns 29. So he could enlist sometime in 2021. Idek what to think

But yeah it's been clear for a while now BH cares mostly about the cash grab. I mean Uno cards...

While I don't condone burn out, I agree. Music groups have a SHORT shelf life, especially in SK. Just the other day, I mentioned SNSD and someone (Korean) said Oh, they're some irrelevant old group and it gave me cognitive dissonance, especially since just a few years ago SNSD seemed UNSTOPPABLE. BTS, while I love 'em to bits, will become has-beens at some point so why not crank out all they can for a few years while they can?

I'm a writer, I know tons of artists and we all kind of know when you don't produce, you become irrelevant FAST. I know dancers who say I would LOVE to take a year-long break, but if I do? I won't catch up.

Just watched a longer clip of their dance practice for CBS and the full dance practice on YouTube and they’re just adorable, and the dance is delightfully cheesy in a good way. Somehow seeing the dance performed in regular clothes made me like it so much more than seeing it performed in their stage/MV outfits.

I love seeing these kinds of footage. Gives us a view of what’s it like behind the scene. I really wish they would rest :( I was reading some music show fan accounts and everyone mentioned how they looked so tired. J-hope at one point kept drinking so much water because he was losing his voice. Their schedule is seriously ridiculous. I still remember them cancelling some of their Japanese concerts in 05 because they were missing like 2-3 members due to exhaustion.

I get that this is a prestigious name and a great opportunity for them but I am so annoyed at seeing Blackpink looking cute and living it up at Coachella all week looking like real likeable girls and meeting/networking with cool young people and other artists yet BTS is running on Red Bull getting their umpteenth year of scripted questions, embarrassing collabs and repetitive staged "behind the scenes" features on mom and dad TV with RM often still having to play translator instead.
lil_poisonfrog 21st-Apr-2019 02:25 pm (UTC)
Lol I feel like this is the rare instance where YG's style of promotions benefit the artist. But I wouldn't get too upset yet bc after their tour is over I can easily see BP getting locked in the dungeon again for the rest of the year even though it would be such a stupid move, bc YHS is a shithead like that

seeing all of the pictures of blackpink living it up at coachella this weekend (not just photo ops but actually partying with celebs) just made me think of bts always skipping the after parties at the awards shows they’ve gone to. that’s kind of a huge perk when you’ve made it to that level, not to mention networking and just having fun. I know armys think it’s sweet that they always come back to do a vlive for them after these events but for once I’m sure they’d like to party.

I get that it’s a different dynamic being a boy group because I don’t think bts partying (especially with female celebs) would go over too well with fans. and yeah, 3/4 of blackpink are fluent in english which makes everything easier in terms of communication and I think their male fans aren’t at the same level as army is with bts in terms of being jealous and possessive.
