Sulli Confirmed To Release First Solo Track

Sulli will be releasing her first solo song in 14 years since making her debut as a child actress in 2005!

On June 10, reports emerged that Sulli was preparing to release a solo song within the month. A source from SM Entertainment responded to the reports and said, “It’s true that Sulli is preparing to release a solo song. As of now, the plan is for the music to be released in late June.”

After making her debut as a child actress in 2005, Sulli made her debut as an idol in 2009 as a member of the girl group f(x). She left the group in August 2015 and has been focusing on her acting career since. However, Sulli is set to delight fans with her singing once more as she prepares for a solo track.

Are you excited to hear what Sulli is preparing?

ngl, this is... weird?

Lol no. She is the textbook example of a useless visual. She was a waste of space on stage with f(x), and since she left I'm still not seeing what the discernible talent is. If it weren't for her IG, there would be nothing interesting about her whatsoever. Perfect example of someone who got rich and famous solely for their looks and nothing else.

there are valid reasons to dislike her for and you pick her lack of talent? she had the most public recognition back when she was in f(x) and brought a lot of attention to the group because of her good looks. she didn't hold them back in any way but idol life started to take a toll on her and she stopped caring.
lil_poisonfrog 10th-Jun-2019 11:00 am (UTC)
Lol sis why isn't that a valid reason??? Some of us actually like idols to be good performers like is that a novel concept to you??? Lmao

She certainly got attention as a visual but she was never the face of the group like Yoona, Irene or Seolhyun. She was just...there. Krystal was/is the face and has it all in terms of looks, charisma and singing ability.

I didn't say she held them back, I said she was useless on stage. That's my opinion of her abilities, I don't really care what the public thought of her then or now. F(x) never quite clicked for me as a group until I saw them perform as 4, and suddenly it made sense, because they trimmed the fat. Believe me, whatever her reasons, I'm very glad she left.

lol krystal was an abysmal lead vocalist and just as dead on stage as sulli, if not more, and victoria was even worse of a singer. but i can tell you've made up you mind so believe what you want.
lil_poisonfrog 10th-Jun-2019 11:16 am (UTC)
You're entitled to that opinion, but the reality is that when people think of f(x), the member that comes to mind first is Krystal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry nobody else cares about someone who, by her own admission, didn't give a shit about being on stage and it showed.

plenty of people care about her and unlike the rest of f(x) - sans victoria, the other useless visual - she's still booked. but yes, let's burn her at the stake for being depressed and not performing to the best of her abilities at the lowest point of her life.
lil_poisonfrog 10th-Jun-2019 11:47 am (UTC)
She's still booked because of her looks and no other reason. That's my whole damn point. Some of us don't like seeing talentless people succeed solely they're pretty, I think that's what you're not understanding. Saying she doesn't deserve to be rich for her looks alone isn't "burning at the stake" and it's sad to me that you view it that way.

oh please, she's basically working full-time as a model now, what else is she supposed to be booked for if not her looks? and there are still plenty of people who like her singing and acting. i'm assuming you feel the same way about 90% of kpop idols? cause useless visuals is what most of them are. just seems weird to be into idols if talent is what's most important to you.

Gonna need some receipts on that bc you're actually the first person I've ever encountered who praised for anything other than her looks or pissing K-netz off on IG. Her acting in that one movie was pretty panned from what I remember.

I do feel the same way to an extent about other visuals. But most of them, at least in the popular groups, make up for a lack of performing ability with something else. For instance, being the face/representative member or being good at fanservice and variety content. After all that stuff is just as important as performing is for an idol group. The bare minimum is not sticking out like a sore thumb on stage in comparison to the rest of the members. I don't think Sulli met that for reasons I've already stated.

Look we're talking in circles at this point. You think Sulli has something valuable to offer the entertainment industry and I don't. Idk what else there is to say.

I'm gonna agree with you. SM visual and that's about it. Not that it's a bad thing. But...why push a solo song?

It's crazy to me that she's a 'visual' because I just don't get it, but to each their own I guess.

That makes two of us lol. I always feel like there must be something wrong with my sight because I’ve never seen what other people do.

I honestly don't think she was weaker than any other member on stage aside from Luna, lmao. She had her role in the group and fulfilled it well before whatever happened during RPPP.
