2019 BTS FESTA Day 10: BANGTAN Attic + Day 9: BTS Profile 2019 Version

Meh, i highly doubt Jin is that clever. I know he got into that universify at a young age and all, but lbr it must have been because of his looks. It s probably what RM must have had in mind when he said he was so different from him, who got so much shit for his looks and had to rely so much on his IQ and EQ. Jin even said the only compliment he ever got was about his looks. And of course both RM and Jin come from very privilegded backgrounds, whereas Suga always seemed very woke, and I m sure would have been very articulate in English too if he had been given RMs opportunities to learn English (whereas Jin even spent time abroad to lean English and look at how that turned out)

V, JK and JH probably are on the same level, providing solid proof about multiple intelligences ('cause can I learn dances like that? Not even if my life depended on it). However, it seems like only JK is consciously aware of this, hence why he was so impressed by RM, even saying he was "so handsome in my eyes" awwww.

Then again it s good that V doesnt seem to get some things sometimes, otherwise he d be really pissed off about the way the members ignore and obviously underestimate him (unless it s something objective like how quickly he learns a choreography. Even better than JH apparently). Wonder how come RM hasnt stepped in yet? Or their counselor? V is bound to realize it and get seriously pissed off at some point.

I think you should watch more episodes of Run BTS, Jin for sure comes across as smarter than RM in quite a lot of those. For me intelligence is more than just book smarts. So my evaluation takes both IQ and EQ into account.
Also I think both Suga and Jin are fluent enough in English but prefer to express themselves in Korean.

The rest I kinda agree with.

Well, i kinda used to like Jin because he must be working his ass off trying to learn the choreography and I can so relate to that, but even his body language yesterday didnt really show high E.Q. Quite the opposite actually. What s interesting about BTS is that there must be so much going on in the background, e.g. Jin and RM coming from mich wealthier families than the rest (of us), Jin and Suga being the oldest but the leader being RM etc...

it's interesting the whole thing about them being well off, apparnetly jin's family is super rich and RM's is def pretty well off too but i wonder that the rest (other than suga) are not too bad off too. i mean, jk went to america for 6 months to learn dancing. was that sponsored by the company? seems a bit odd he's the only one who goes... so did his parents pay for it? jimin went to an arts school. i mean, idk, usually people with relatively ok backgrounds go to arts schools right? in asia especially? idk about the other two tho...

iirc, only Jin and RM were rich (VERY rich). Which makes it very interesting, considering how much they gave up to go sleep in the same room with 5 strangers. Jin must have been driven by his need to prove to his family that he s worth something. RM just couldnt control his need to write music.

YG cant have been rich, hence his interesting dynamic with RM when they were trainees, fighting all the time. He wouldnt have been in such a horrible financial situation before he became a trainee otherwise (he s talked about having money for either food or the bus, not both). I remember reading somewhere that Jimin's teacher used to pay for his dance lessons? V grew up with his grandparents on a farm so idk about that. As for JK i have NO idea.

Didn't Yoongi only lack money bc his family didn't support him going into music though? I mean, I don't think they were rich, but they could be solidly middle class and just not have the extra cash around to support their son while he goes into a super risky career

None of them come from poor backgrounds, I think we can be fairly confident of that at this point. Their families all seem middle class to rich.

I'm not sure how schools in Korea work but Jimin's school may not have been a private school. I think in some countries, after middle school you test to get into high schools based on grades and your desired area of study?

Your takes in these BTS posts are so horrible, my god...

Mte ... I'm just drinking my coffee and reading through these like 👀

I like speculating to a certain point but some of this is just reading into it too damn much ... Sometimes it's just not that deep. I think we all need to remember that we don't know ANY of them. We know the on-screen and stage personas but idk, I find it kinda weird to be speculating about how certain members hate each other and trying to read into their body language and analyse it.
jyusou 13th-Jun-2019 08:46 am (UTC)
Same. I’m reading through these and while some are within the boundaries others are just like...seriously, speculation based on perceived socio-economic background that isn’t wholly confirmed? Fuck off with this shit.
mallmouse 13th-Jun-2019 08:51 am (UTC)
I actually dont want to be right. I genuinely hope im reading too much into this. But l can't be sure I'm not right either. Time will tell i guess.
dallinferno 13th-Jun-2019 10:39 am (UTC)
Yeah and no one is asking you to read into it and preach it like it's facts ... People in this fandom pick up things quickly (even just some speculation) and spread it as if they were facts.

Yeah i think you are reading way too much. Like jin turning his back to v when he is speaking. I think its because he was talking about v and how he changed etc. In the video when they were making comments about other members (in serious mod) they didnt look at each other at all because of the awkwardness. Like when jk talking about rm and rm looked away and even flinched lol. I agree with that they always interrupting tae when he is speaking but it isnt intentional or i dont think tae cares. Whats really different is that i think tae changed sooo much. Like he matured a lot and he is more laid back now. 2013-2014 tae is dead. He was so energetic and bubbly or he was like that on camera. But he is more quite and sensitive right now. Its simply he matured because of his age and probably some things happened in his private life like everyone else. And i agree with members that he is exactly like himself on and off camera right now. Beacuse of that we can see him in bad mood or uninterested in some videos. Or like he looks like doesnt want to be there or interact with anyone. And members dont really push him when he is in that kind of mood and give him some space.

If it's any consolation, you're probably not right. To quote my English teacher 'Poor understanding of source material and juvenile analysis. D+'
