it's interesting the whole thing about them being well off, apparnetly jin's family is super rich and RM's is def pretty well off too but i wonder that the rest (other than suga) are not too bad off too. i mean, jk went to america for 6 months to learn dancing. was that sponsored by the company? seems a bit odd he's the only one who goes... so did his parents pay for it? jimin went to an arts school. i mean, idk, usually people with relatively ok backgrounds go to arts schools right? in asia especially? idk about the other two tho...

iirc, only Jin and RM were rich (VERY rich). Which makes it very interesting, considering how much they gave up to go sleep in the same room with 5 strangers. Jin must have been driven by his need to prove to his family that he s worth something. RM just couldnt control his need to write music.

YG cant have been rich, hence his interesting dynamic with RM when they were trainees, fighting all the time. He wouldnt have been in such a horrible financial situation before he became a trainee otherwise (he s talked about having money for either food or the bus, not both). I remember reading somewhere that Jimin's teacher used to pay for his dance lessons? V grew up with his grandparents on a farm so idk about that. As for JK i have NO idea.

Didn't Yoongi only lack money bc his family didn't support him going into music though? I mean, I don't think they were rich, but they could be solidly middle class and just not have the extra cash around to support their son while he goes into a super risky career

None of them come from poor backgrounds, I think we can be fairly confident of that at this point. Their families all seem middle class to rich.

I'm not sure how schools in Korea work but Jimin's school may not have been a private school. I think in some countries, after middle school you test to get into high schools based on grades and your desired area of study?
