KBS reports Yang Hyun Suk accused of threatening informant over testimony about B.I

“KBS News” reported on June 13 that informant “A,” allegedly Han Seo Hee, said she was threatened by Yang Hyun Suk over her testimony regarding B.I.

On August 23, 2016, the day after she testified to the police about suspicions of B.I’s drug use, she was reportedly called to YG Entertainment’s office and met with Yang Hyun Suk.

In the testimony that lawyer Bang Jung Hyun submitted on her behalf to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, she stated that she was then threatened by Yang Hyun Suk.

Bang Jung Hyun stated to KBS that Yang Hyun Suk had them both take out their phones and agree not to record the conversation. After that, he reportedly said, “It wouldn’t be difficult for me to put you at a disadvantage.”

Bang Jung Hyun stated, “Before the informant met with Yang Hyun Suk, she told the police the whole truth when she was first brought in.” He continued, “In the first police questioning, she testified about everything including the fact that she had taken marijuana with him and given him LSD after he requested her to get it for him, the time and date, and the location. However, the police did not conduct an investigation.”

Yang Hyun Suk is reported to have continued by saying that YG artists don’t get caught by the police for drug use. Bang Jung Hyun stated that Yang Hyun Suk said that a method is used to remove the drug traces so that they are not detected in tests. He reportedly said, “We periodically do drug tests, and if drugs are detected, then they’re sent to Japan where the drug ingredients can be removed, so they don’t get detected.”

According to Bang Jung Hyun, Yang Hyun Suk went on to say, “I hate our artists going to the police station for that kind of problem. I’ll give you sufficient compensation and appoint a lawyer for you, so go to the police station and change all of your testimony.”

She stated that Yang Hyun Suk did appoint a lawyer for her. Bang Jung Hyun said, “According to the informant, her lawyer at the time wasn’t her own lawyer and it felt as though they were speaking on behalf of Yang Hyun Suk from YG Entertainment’s position.” He added, “They wrote down every line of the testimony on a note pad and told her to say it like that. She said they continued to coach her while next to her.”

In her third questioning on August 30, she changed her original testimony to say that B.I had never done drugs.

While YG Entertainment has confirmed that Yang Hyun Suk met with her, they have denied all suspicions of coaxing her to change her testimony and appointing a substitute lawyer for her.

I saw that Seunghoon connection too. I just submitted it + apparently the testimonies disappeared from official police records so yikes.

YG is just so powerful. Stan Twitter continues to be delusional. Will Winner fans get involved now? I don't know. But its possible.

At this point no amount of pushing his female artists can keep this shit storm away.Yang Hyun Shit must pay his dues and start reparations.

At first I thought the petition to ban ALL YG Label artists from performing was a teensy over the top.

Now... He has been covering for addicts, the mentally unstable, rapists, misogynistic pigs, elicit in drugs, sex and a sprinkling of human trafficking... All allegedly.... For a profit.
How sick do you need to be, to be a person elicit to all these acts?
Right now he could be housing dozens of little teen trainees that are Already Stressed and mentally vulnerable and just shipping them to the basement and telling them partying will 'ease the stress' so long as he has a thumb over them he most likely thinks it's okay. That internal investigation needs to have been happening... Like last year. Korean Police Force need their A-Game right now.

Like wow, this is gross negligence, abuse (in all forms), utter disrespect for human rights and human lives around him and plainly fucking horrifying.

He needs isolation until he passes from this world so he can hopefully do better in the next one. We don't want him no more.

it's more than just having trainees they has a whole academy of minors paying for lessons and being groomed into being idols that aren't on a trainee contract and have even less protections. a thorough examination of that should be made too.

Smh.
As well as all the smaller subsidery companies like Black Label (?) that have droves of kids and their parents believing in the allusion that they could be YG Family too.
This is just heartbreaking when you think about just how much power this man has emassed and how many people's careers, jobs, livelihoods he actually is accountable for.

It's just not fair on those that were trying to make an honest living too.

YG on some next level. I don't doubt other celebs/idols do drugs but YG keeps being the one embodied in it. I know you guys dragged me for saying I felt sorry for the artists and the boycott but I just meant it seems like nothing is being done even with new news. I feel for the trainees, I don't get how anyone can think going to YG is a good idea.
babyjenkski 14th-Jun-2019 05:24 am (UTC)
I've always thought that the reason why trainees choose the big 3 is because soon as they have their debut (even pre-debut) they are sure to have a huge fanbase (the company stans). YG is just really messy right now.
