Former “Produce 48” Contestant Han Cho Won Officially Signs Artist Contract With Cube Entertainment

On August 21, Cube Entertainment revealed, “We have signed an exclusive artist contract with Han Cho Won.”

According to SpoTV News, Han Cho Won, who had originally signed a trainee contract with Cube Entertainment, signed a contract in the first half of 2019 to join the agency as an artist. Unlike a trainee contract, an artist contract is a green light that indicates the person’s imminent debut.

In response to this, a source from Cube Entertainment stated, “We have yet to decide on specific plans in regards to Han Cho Won’s debut.”

I liked her on Produce, so I'm happy things seem to be going well on her way to debut.

I hope, if they make her a solo artist that they just let her sing like she wants and doesn't push whatever ~sexy and exotic~ stuff they hinted at when she was a trainee.

Nice! Didn’t watch the season beyond the first few episodes but I loved her in Produce and one of the only ones I remember.

Rewriting my comment cause I made a mistake replying to the previous user😅

I hope she finds success just like Soyeon did; I’m rooting for her.

All the best for you Chowon! I really like her singing!

She deserved a spot as a final member on Produce 48. But its ok. I know she'll be amazing when she debuts.

I mean it's a pity her vocals were not recognised earlier and while she didn't get into the group (with her vocals it would have been great for iz*one), I don't think she would have fit in with the image and she deserves better!

I was rooting so hard for her in the show. She was unpopular at the beginning because her looks were too "strong" and she was dark skinned and not delicate looking like Sakura or those other cutesy girls. She really rose up the ranks through sheer grit and talent, and it broke my heart when the final spot was between her and Chae (my other fave). I hope things go well for her, though I think it's too early for Cube to release another girl group after G-Idle, but she can do solo ballads maybe?
