f(x) Victoria and Luna leave SM Ent + Company shares update on Krystal

f(x)’s Victoria Announces Departure From SM Entertainment
On September 5, f(x)’s Victoria informed fans of her departure from SM Entertainment through a post on her Weibo account.

"10 years have passed in the blink of an eye. September 5, 2009, I stood on stage and officially debuted. From then I already knew that as long as you put in effort you will be rewarded, though luck is important, chances are only given to those who are prepared. I only hope that I could grab hold of all the chances and leave no regrets. Now, it’s the 10-year anniversary, it is an end and also a beginning. I’m thankful for everything in these 10 years with SM; we will begin the next journey in a new manner. This is a new beginning, a restart to my journey, but I will still be me, I will continue to be myself, not forget the past and move forward. I will work hard to be a better version of myself; as long as my belief is strong, I will not be easily strayed from my path. Cherish every single chance! Cherish everyone and everything around me! I would like to thank the brave and hardworking me, who gave me everything I own today! Thank you to my family and friends, thank you to those who love me and whom I love, it is my fortune to have met all of you. Grateful for all the trust and support given, and I hope I have not disappointed anyone, I will continue to give my best. So, would you be willing to walk with me for the next 10 years?"

Victoria’s Chinese studio also confirmed her departure from SM Entertainment following her post. She also later posted on her Instagram account.

I almost thought Luna would stay, to be honest, but I guess any company could rep her for musicals and a youtube channel

also no wonder SM wouldn't allow fans to put up anniversary posters in coex, the SM store is in coex, can't have such blatant reminders so close to their store

The way it's worded I bet she did want to stay sm probably didn't need her

sad that we'll now definitely not see them together again as a group, but also relieved for them - now they can go their own ways. angry at sm for not making it work for them.

hoping only the best for them!

Iconic GGs going out with whimpers is becoming such a RULE. I'm sick honestly.

But then I don't even know what going out with a bang would be like at this point. I don't want to support these trash fucking companies for a "goodbye song" or something either.

One final album a d round of promotions before disbanding would’ve been nice but SM prefers to sell a cheap-looking keychain on their anniversary

WHEW

we already knew but well... still stings.

Praying that Soojung doesn't have much left on her contract so she can fly free soon as well.

SM stays being the worst.

She thanked SM but not even word about group or the members?

I'm sad f(x) is officially over but this was inevitable. Happy for all the girls to escape SM and finally being able to do something with their talent. I hope Luna and Amber reach the highest levels of success, they deserve it. Victoria used to be my favorite but this one China thing and now not even mentioning her group members.... Really soured her to me. Krystal please leave also.

In any case I'm glad I got to see them perform one last time at kcon Paris 3 years ago even tho it was just the 3 of them. That was kinda the closure I needed. 4 Walls and Red Light will always be my fave kpop albums.

come on now ... victoria supporting china goverment isnt a "one thing", she did it before even while fx was kinda active

Dont forget back in 2016 Victoria posting political propaganda on sns only few days apart from sm releasing 'all mine' (aka officially fx last song as a group)

she stopped caring long time ago

So Victoria was counting down until her contract ended huh...damn
dior_chic 5th-Sep-2019 12:33 pm (UTC)
Ngl not even bringing up f(x) isn’t a cute look Victoria. But lbr I stopped caring about her a long time ago and definitely won’t be following her career

So happy for Luna!!!! Two members I liked the most, Amber and Luna, are finally free!! I hope she flourishes
carmine_pink 5th-Sep-2019 12:54 pm (UTC)
Thank you f(x), you've worked hard. Be free everyone, be free!! Free Somebody.mp3

I hope Luna can maintain her YT channel or maybe make a new one if she can't. She's done a lot of content from beauty to fashion to food, so even if she loses the SM resources she can probably do brand collaborations etc. Her latest comeback was also self-composed by her and her friends so maybe she would pursue that further or do more musicals.
