Sleepy Leaves TS Entertainment After Terminating Contract Through Legal Dispute + Sets Up New Agency

It has been revealed that rapper Sleepy has set up his own agency after leaving TS Entertainment following a legal dispute.

On September 15, it was reported that Sleepy founded PVO Entertainment early this month and appointed himself as the CEO. PVO is the same name as the crew Sleepy formed with rappers Liquor and JD in January, and stands for “Positive Vibes Only.”

Sleepy parted ways with TS Entertainment in late August after spending 13 years with them since making his debut in 2006 as a member of the rap duo Untouchable. According to legal circles, Sleepy submitted a request to confirm the invalidity of his exclusive contract with TS Entertainment in April, and then filed a request to suspend his exclusive contract with the agency in May. He claimed, “The agency did not provide me with documents regarding payments, and has never shown me a physical copy of our contract. My faith in them has broken down due to factors such as management issues.”

TS Entertainment refuted the claims and stated that they had provided the documents and paid Sleepy on the agreed upon dates, that Sleepy had seen the documents and had not made any objections at the time, and the agency has now stabilized and is being managed without any issues.

The Seoul Western District Court heard from both sides and in June, they rejected Sleepy’s request to suspend his contract. On August 29, a hearing was opened on the case and under the guidance of the court, both sides agreed to part ways and Sleepy left TS Entertainment.

A source from TS Entertainment confirmed that they had indeed parted ways with Sleepy and stated, “Through the legal process, we terminated our contract with Sleepy.” They also explained, “However, there are suspicions that Sleepy embezzled money from the agency such as through advertisement rates. We are planning to file a damage claim suit against him sometime between late September and early October.”

of course....

@mods; can we get a TS Entertainment tag?

Does TS even have anyone under their label anymore?
aures 15th-Sep-2019 01:49 pm (UTC)
yes, sonamoo and TRCNG.

No idea who he is (or Untouchable for that matter) but congrats on getting away from TS!

Is Sonamoo the only "active" group left in that company? Does anyone know how long their contracts last? I wonder how long it'll take for them to file for bankruptcy once everyone's gone...

i would say TRCNG is their only active group, they are currently promoting (or finishing up) but highly unsuccessful

they did sonamoo dirty, they announced a comeback a long time ago, they opened like funding project and reached their goal super quickly, only for them to then drop the whole comeback and the funders only got like a signed copy or something for a mediocre song and it never got released and i think already 2 members were excluded, fans think they are also leaving the company but TS hasn't said anything yet

edit; forgot to add that people think the money for sonamoo's comeback (and the funding money) went to the legal battles and trcng's comeback

I've seen the name TRCNG on here but have never actually checked them out, it's sad (but not surprising) to hear their promos haven't gone well.

The girls are the senior group in the company, they should've been the priority. Sucks to hear about the funding mess, has anyone been pissed enough to report them?
I remember when Sonamoo debuted, I really liked their concept and song and after that it felt like everything just fell apart for them. :( I hope they can wait out their contracts and move on to do something they want/like to do.

yes and it's dumb they gave priority to their unknown rookie boygroup (but what's new right) when they have sonamoo who are, indeed, the senior in the company and much more well known (unknown, but still a lot more than their bb), it's just a dumb investment tbh and super unfair because they promised both sonamoo and their fans they would get a comeback but now they only got what they did with that funding project, it's so unfair and i hope they can wait it out, and leave
it's a shame, they have such talented members, it's awful they had to debut with such a company

i wish the best for sonamoo and TRCNG but i really just can't wait for the day that this company ceases to exist

Mte! After watching V-1 and realizing High D is going back to doing nothing with TS - just youtube covers, I can’t wait for Sonamoo to get out of there

(I see there’s some speculation 2 members have quit, but I haven’t seen confirmation - on reddit I know TS claims they just couldn’t participate in the photo shoot, but they’re also liars so idk I’m hoping Sumin and Nahyun are free)

TS is just 3 managers managing 2 groups and 15 lawyers fighting in court everyday with everyone else.
