Hash Swan Urges BTS Fans + His Fans To Stop Fighting; Asks People To Consider Jungkook’s Feelings

Rapper Hash Swan has returned to Instagram to ask both his fans and BTS’s fans to stop fighting.

Earlier this week, Hash Swan became unexpectedly swept up in BTS’s Jungkook’s dating rumors (which have since been denied by Big Hit Entertainment). After a photo surfaced on an online community of a man alleged to be Jungkook hugging a woman from behind, some people began to speculate that the man in the photo was actually Hash Swan. The rapper responded by posting the photo on Instagram and clarifying, “This isn’t me. I’m [saying this] because so many people are asking me about it.”

Shortly afterwards, Hash Swan deleted his post due to multiple requests to remove the photo. He later shared multiple screenshots of people mocking him and his appearance on social media, before ultimately posting a lengthy message asking people to stop harassing him.

On September 18, Hash Swan took to Instagram Live to call for peace between his fans and BTS’s fans. He remarked, “While I did get my feelings hurt during this past incident, I don’t think that this is something fans should be fighting over. I’m fine now. I feel guilty seeing [our] fans fighting amongst themselves. We’ve figured out the situation [regarding the photo], and it’s all over now. Let’s not fight.”

The rapper also stated that he didn’t consider those who had attacked him “true BTS fans.” He explained, “Even though both sides’ fans are fighting, the people who attacked me by sending me DMs and messages weren’t true BTS fans anyway. This is a problem created by a minority of people who aren’t even real BTS fans.”

Asking his followers to consider Jungkook’s feelings, Hash Swan continued, “It’s true that I got hit by a stone out of nowhere when I wasn’t doing anything [a Korean expression describing someone who gets attacked for no reason]. But I’ve also received many apologies for it. I think that BTS’s Jungkook must be just as upset as I am and going through a difficult time as well. But due to the requirements of his job, even if he had something he wanted to say right now, he wouldn’t be able to say it.”

“Idols and rappers are different,” he went on. “It doesn’t matter if I say whatever I want to say and my image is tarnished, but [Jungkook] isn’t free to express himself [like that].”

Hash Swan concluded, “Let’s stop everything. I don’t know if you’re doing this to protect [the artists you support] or because you hate the other artist’s fans, but let’s stop now.”

So messy. I am glad he said something and has managed to take it in stride.
sciencebottle 19th-Sep-2019 02:57 pm (UTC)
This is ridiculous. I’m glad he spoke up about it. How certain parts of Kpop fandoms behave (and tbh all fandoms) are completely unacceptable.

Also....did anyone honestly believe that there wouldn’t be a fandom meltdown if maknae line got into a dating rumour? Here’s your proof otherwise now! :/

His comment is a great reminder that being an idol is just some next level BS.

ARMY ain’t shit for trying to first claim it’s not Jungkook and then claiming he was with someone married/lesbian/taken.
Either way it looks like Jungkook is either very good at making friends fast or was having some real fun on vacation, or basically getting it on with someone who is already in a relationship.

So many of his stans are internally seething but unable to say anything in the overtly positive and pc culture up on their social media platforms.
I am thoroughly enjoying this.

ARMY should be more concerned with the idea that knuckle tats are a thing that Jungkook is into.

lydzi 19th-Sep-2019 04:23 pm (UTC)
ARMY should just sit and eat their salad tbh. I truly never get why people think it's ok to interfere on someone "you don't know personaly"'s life. It's not even always ok when you actually know the person so even less here.
evilcoc0nut 19th-Sep-2019 04:32 pm (UTC)
lol all of tihs
apori 19th-Sep-2019 10:07 pm (UTC)
Pretty much.

I should be most concerned about the unhinged seething and full on delusions, but since that's just more of the same, I'm mainly concerned at those tats because they are HIDEOUS. I've seen so many fugly ones in kpop to really be taken aback, but the golden maknae did it.
blck_ink 19th-Sep-2019 04:20 pm (UTC)
dude was just living his life and getting attacked cause people didn't want to believe jungkook was interacting with a woman? MAD!!

i hope one day bts, and other groups, will be able to tell their fans to stfu and stop fighting.

I think when the pictures first came out, ARMYs tried to deflect and say the guy in the picture was Hash Swan. And then he said it wasn't him and his (Hash Swan's) fans got mad and started fighting with ARMYs as well and this is him basically saying, ok cut it out it's done now.
gigabytexx 19th-Sep-2019 06:59 pm (UTC)
I genuinely didn't know this was the start, i just knew that the cctv photo came out of nowhere and I was just riding with the wave. Then I've read some people said something like "it's Swan's fault for uploading the picture, he's the one who started it for attention." and I was genuinely dumbfounded lmao who is this Swan person??
Now that I read this post..... Oh. Poor guy. He was simply trying to clean his own name saying that the person in the cctv wasn't him and he got the shit.

Now I wonder if after his explanation there will be armys trying to interrupt him saying "das not tru Jungkook can say and do whatever he wants!!!11" yeah how bout no -_-
"The boys is rich and BH gave them freedom!!1"
"Jungkook is not like any other idol!!1"
"BTSpop not Kpop"

Sometimes i dont know to explain nicely to them, many of them are so.......... loud and WRONG. And they're trying to 'educate' us...like??

But I also wish this thing will go away fast, I'm not concerned much about Jungkook (altho yea, poor him, non-celebs friends need to be extra cautious when meeting him in public) but more all the other people who got the effect.
kcaomei 19th-Sep-2019 07:06 pm (UTC)
i like how hash swan handled the situation and it really sucks he had to be involved at all (let alone being hurt by the harassing comments).

this whole situation makes me want to scream because it couldn't be more stupid or uncalled for. being a kpop fan for over a decade now, i've obviously witnessed my fair share of fandom meltdowns but i feel like i'm even more exhausted by it nowadays just having to hear about it lmao
sciencebottle 19th-Sep-2019 11:35 pm (UTC)
Your second paragraph is literally me. Fandoms are already bad and I've known that as a longtime kpop fan, but I feel like i'm always so perpetually annoyed with ARMYs because so much of it is in a language I can understand (english) and not just korean netizen comments.
rosiemotleymind 19th-Sep-2019 07:19 pm (UTC)
ARMYs (and I say this as a huge fan of BTS) will literally bully people from the internet. The absolute delusion that the majority of them have (being hypocrites, treating grown men like actual children, gatekeeping, ignoring racism, misogyny) seriously makes me so tired. The meltdowns that this scandal proved that the BTS fandom are just as bad in this generation as the previous ones. Hash Swan and Jk's tattooist friend really don't deserve this.

ironmangina 19th-Sep-2019 07:45 pm (UTC)
The meltdown but try-not-to-show-that-we're-melting-down armys had on the day this all happened was hilarious. They've always been on such a high horse about how they aren't like all the other "kpoppies" and would be above going insane when dating news came out ...but lo and behold. All the excuses they ran through ("it's not him!" "ok it's him but she's gay!" "ok she's not gay but she IS married!" "ok she isn't married but she DOES have a boyfriend") were amusing to watch.

I feel bad for the girl though, I do believe she had something going on with him (yes, friends can hug each other, but with the way SK is about pda, I truly doubt he would've hugged her like /that/ if they were just friends...and especially not if she did indeed already have a boyfriend) but whatever it was, it's more than likely over or heading that way.

The day Jimin or Taehyung get caught up will be one for the books.
azoarka 20th-Sep-2019 01:00 am (UTC)
Yeah, people keep saying they could be friends but idk if people here are aware of skinship dynamics in SK but my family would side-eye me if I were to have a backhug with a friend of the opposite sex if there wasn't at least something going on.

I've been bracing for 95-line eventually getting caught. Jimin's been the most popular in Korea (judging from Gallup poll rankings) since after Blood, Sweat & Tears era but Taehyung I think has the most fans worldwide so either way, the fandom implosion would be gigantic.
thebloomroom 20th-Sep-2019 05:57 am (UTC)
Mte to the whole comment. They fuckin. Adultery is nothing new in SK (or anywhere for that matter) so the weird stans trying to use that as an excuse for how they arent fuckin are... delusional
azoarka 20th-Sep-2019 01:11 pm (UTC)
I don't think she's married anyway but mte. I've never understood the way stans jump to "she's married!" as if that removes the possibility of their kpop boy being with a woman because, hello! affairs happen all the time!!!!
lil_poisonfrog 21st-Sep-2019 05:25 pm (UTC)
The "she's married" bs was particularly wild bc the girl looks hella young. From what I understand Koreans rarely get married in their early/mid 20s unless there's an oopsie baby involved

If I was a commoner there I wouldn't date an idol in a millions years, I'd be too paranoid to touch them even in private bc sasaengs have eyes everywhere *shudder* Maybe bc she knows a lot of idols through tattooing she let her guard down idk
broadcities 19th-Sep-2019 07:55 pm (UTC)
ugh i feel so bad for him, good that he spoke up but it's ridiculous he had to in the first place. this is why i can't be on these fan platforms even though some of the content is pure and cute
iviih 20th-Sep-2019 12:15 am (UTC)

Armys made a huge deal because of one picture, trended articles, hashtags, and after all this got huge and embarrassing, they are now saying it was not Armys or fans that did it, it was non-fans/haters trying to make BTS and their fans look bad.

It's funny because they make a big deal and get everyone attention making their articles and hashtags trend. Everytime is the same, they make a mess and huge deal, and then get ashamed, and start to trend "respect BTS!! lets make "get well ___ soon! " "we are with you ____ " "respect ____ member"

Lmao, they don't realize they make things worse by getting more exposure/ media attention? And they go after others, accusing others, like this guy Hash Swan, that did anything, or even the tattoo manager guy, seems like he posted "JK and the girl are just friends, no dating" fans complained about him telling this, and now the guy was fired !??.

BTS members are treated like babies. I noticed some fans love this image that BTS is different from others, like saints, they talk stuff like "Look BTS! They never go to parties, they go fishing, go to museum or spend time with their fans at V app"

And this is kind dangerous, because fans get this Self Entitlement that BTS must tell them everything, where they go, what they do.. For example: most awards ceremony BTS went, they never went to after parties, most of time they went straight to their rooms, and made live V app, making fans happy and proud their favs is not flirting or having fun in the after party (kind selfish, they never can have fun, must live for their fans) .

I feel bad for them, even the normal stuff make fans go crazy, Jimin partying or JK hugging someone (I just got to know it because it was "respect jimin/jk" trending lol)

Even saw some fans happy that their break is over, because look what happened! The guys had some fun and this is unforgivable...

thebloomroom 20th-Sep-2019 06:03 am (UTC)
lmaoo the pure idol marketing really got to them. Its embarrassing, esp for the adult stans. I guarantee every adult idol is dating, or at least fucking other ppl/idols. A lot of them (particularly men) do drugs and party, its easy for them to get access and alcohol culture in SK makes the US look sober. They are grown men, not babies. Its just delusional, there is no point putting celebs on a pedestal and that goes for non kpop celebs too.

Army is weird bc they go on all these big holier than thou crusades about how they are all about being a respectful fanbase, unlike other ones, but theyre the same if not worse! I love BTS scandals bc the comments on reddit/twitter are always soooo entertaining.
sciencebottle 20th-Sep-2019 10:37 pm (UTC)
LOL the fact that I saw this nowhere on reddit was so telling. They really don't wanna own up to their fandom's shit.
lil_poisonfrog 21st-Sep-2019 05:31 pm (UTC)
I hate that "no true fan" bullshit. If someone streams the songs and buys merch, they're fucking fans. They represent the whole fandom and the artist regardless of how much you bury your head in the sand. All it does is hand wave bad behavior instead of forcing the artist to actually deal with it
falling_cookie 23rd-Sep-2019 11:07 pm (UTC)
Agreed. I'm a BTS fan but it's exhausting being ARMY most times. I've been a kpop fan since 2008 and I swear some ARMY act like BTS are angels and WOULD NEVER be caught doing X when X is just hanging out with people and drinking. They did all this when Jimin was seen at a pub in Paris too. First said it's not him, then said it's him but he wasn't with girls. Then it's him with girls and drinking, but he's still a saint -_- My goodness, let them live.

I didn't know that they didn't go to the after parties, but I believe it. Honestly, this whole ARMY =BTS and BTS=ARMY may be getting a little dangerous lol.Maybe it's that these fans are just so loud, but none of this is a good look.
minho_lover 20th-Sep-2019 09:05 pm (UTC)

what a mess, but props him for saying that those cray fans arent true bts fans cuz its so true. Liiiike the industry needs to stop catering to delusional fans who want their idols to be single forever!
