Filipino K-Pop fans are in for a treat as one of the biggest girl group icons is set to film a locally made television series.
Nancy McDonie, lead vocalist of renowned Korean girl group “Momoland”, will be starring in a “teleserye” with singer-actor James Reid, ABS-CBN’s entertainment division said Friday.
Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, the new series entitled “Soulmate” will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
The three met up with network executives on Friday for the project’s story conference.
This is not the first time Jadaone and Reid teamed up for a project. The two worked together in the 2015 romantic-comedy series “On the Wings of Love” and the 2018 romantic drama film “Never Not Love You.”
Momoland, meanwhile, is back in Manila for their “Good Friends in Manila” concert on Saturday, October 5 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The group debuted in 2016 and skyrocketed to stardom for its singles “Bboom Bboom” and “Baaam!”
