apparently he wasn't drunk. which is good, i hate drink driving. it's probably something dumb like turning at a no turning corner or not stopping at a stop sign or something where he's clearly at fault. or speeding...

Not gonna lie, my heart dropped. Glad to hear everyone is ok. And that statement by BH is excellent and timely - this is what happened, we messed up, we’re sorry, this is how we made it right. Wish other companies learn how to do it that way; it’ll save for from wild speculation and further damage.

That headline spooked me, glad everyone’s alright!
bubble_monkey9 4th-Nov-2019 01:02 pm (UTC)
ngl the headlines made me think it was something more serious than a traffic light violation. good that he accepted responsibility and compensated the opposite party. I won't get on a high horse bc ngl I've been involved in minor fender benders too :/
jackieee94 4th-Nov-2019 01:49 pm (UTC)
Thank god he wasn’t drunk driving. Good to know that both parties are ok and came to an agreement. Drive safe everyone!
horichansenpai 4th-Nov-2019 02:07 pm (UTC)

As long as it was a genuine mistake and not him being a reckless annoying driver

I've had my (probationary) license for a few years now and haven't been in any major incidents, I like driving but am still anxious whenever I do it ngl

Now, that I know everyone is OK I have to ask--was it his own personal car that he was driving? What type of car was it?

Edit: It was a benz. *sighs*

car accident headlines always give me anxiety

i'm relieved to know everyone is okay and he wasn't driving drunk/under the influence! unfortunately accidents do happen
sciencebottle 4th-Nov-2019 05:46 pm (UTC)
I'm glad it was minor, that both the taxi driver and him are okay, and I'm glad he admitted responsibility. Accidents happen, but the vast majority of them are preventable and so I hope he learns to be a little more attentive in the future.

I am almost entirely done with dealing with ARMY about this however. I got ripped to shreds and was sent about 8-9 awful PM's ("Stop rubbing it in", "He didn't do anything wrong stop spreading lies", and various colourful words) for saying pretty much exactly what I said above. I'm sorry, but it was a 'minor violation' that cost a friend of mine her life back in February. I have to walk by that intersection every morning. Accidents happen, but I'm not going to coddle my bias for making what could have been a very dangerous mistake. I would say the exact same comment to anyone else.
cairistiona 4th-Nov-2019 11:10 pm (UTC)
agreed, army on twitter are doing the most saying "everyone regularly has accidents, this is nothing, he's fine"

i guess you shouldn't be driving if you have accidents "regularly"!

i'm sorry for your loss :(

Thank you :( It was back in February and it happened right outside my house. My driving and how I behave around drivers in general has changed ever since.
lightframes 5th-Nov-2019 12:29 am (UTC)
I'm really sorry about your friend.
sciencebottle 5th-Nov-2019 02:17 am (UTC)
Thank you, I appreciate it. <3

Same reaction. Glad that everybody's ok and that he admitted his responsibility.

I'm not surprised you got attacked by some fans for saying that. Once upon a time I twitted a reaction to the paparazzi video of BTS (the one from the US 2 years ago where they were surprised they were being filmed) and was surprised so many people replied to say that I should delete my tweet and don't react to it because the members might see it and they might be offended. Like..whut?

And I'm really sorry about your friend =(

Glad that everyone is safe and it seemed like it was handled appropriately and quickly. I don't have any room to judge considering how i've dented my car twice through dumbass parking (I'm just so bad at it!).
mallmouse 4th-Nov-2019 06:10 pm (UTC)
Mercedes Benz?
My poor ass can't relate
gigabytexx 4th-Nov-2019 06:36 pm (UTC)
I wonder if this video is true about him trying to avoid a illegal car parking?

https://youtu.be/vfHPadmDCDo

But omg he's very unfortunate isn't he. It's like he has used up most of his luck and lately it's starting to run out.... And most of his stuff are blown out of proportion, I almost feel like I'm going to fall into the conspiracy theories the stantwt are making, that a lot of people wanted to bring bangtan down.

Hang on guysss y'all still have 8 more years to survive 😂
babyjenkski 5th-Nov-2019 02:28 am (UTC)
Everything related to Jungkook and Jimin is always blown out of proportion. They see something about Jungkook on his way to the airport, he'd be trending for hours (wearing a modern hanbok, new tattoos, longer hair than the usual, etc). They have the most fans and that comes with a lot of antis as well.
pinklunacy 4th-Nov-2019 06:49 pm (UTC)
ngl, my heart stopped for a second when the first headline I saw on twitter after waking up was "Jungkook car accident summary" with no context or further information. I'm glad no one was severely hurt and things got settled with, as far as we know, diplomacy and respect. Let's hope this accident will help him become a safer driver.

Twitter was such a mess about this though. Between the stupid brainwashed fans who're trying to pretend it didn't happen/JK is a victim and the people spreading rumors of a DUI and/or asking for him to be jailed, I've asked my self all day why I'm still browsing that app.
sheisagentleman 4th-Nov-2019 08:03 pm (UTC)
im glad my tline is hilarious and mature bc i didnt see any dumb comments until i looked it up as a hashtag. glad jk and the taxi driver are okay and i hope its true that he caused the accident while trying to maneuver around illegally parked cars, bc if it's a traffic light -- im gonna be really disappointed. that shit is really dangerous.
premonitioner 4th-Nov-2019 11:16 pm (UTC)
Seoul drivers are crazy and I never ever want to be put in a situation where I have to drive there, its like Mad Max on those roads
reader17 5th-Nov-2019 01:31 am (UTC)
I am glad everyone is okay, and yes traffic violations can be very serious. Not sure exactly what Traffic Violation he violated, I am glad that he took responsibility and said he did something wrong, and it looks like he handled the situation properly. I admit I drive over the speed limit and a few months ago I made a right hand turn on Red because I hadn't seen the sign that said No Turn on Red. I know it is wrong but I believe anyone that drives has made a mistake at least once in their lifetime, and most people learn from it. Like the stop sign that I swore I stopped at and the policeman said I didn't I now make sure I am completely stopped and count to 4 before I drive.
the3rdjester 5th-Nov-2019 01:50 pm (UTC)
I got so worried when I saw 'Jungkook' and 'car accident' in the same sentence. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt and Jungkook wasn't DUI.

Also, I'm annoyed with those who were blowing this extremely out of proportion and with those who were acting like Jungkook is a poor baby that needs protection. He's an adult who caused a car accident, small but still an accident, and followed the normal procedure every single person follows when they have a car accident.
