I really like this!
The outfits were a little too.. avant garde for my taste but that gauzy shirt at the end? 👀👀
babyjenkski 5th-Nov-2019 10:38 am (UTC)
I'm surprised by the message of the song but I can relate.
camouflagecat 5th-Nov-2019 10:55 am (UTC)
I'm glad I put the subs on bc the lyrics and message really surprised me, in a good way. I think I underestimated him. This was really interesting, even if the song maybe started dragging a little towards the end. I ended up having a more positive reaction to this than Hyuna's song, when I thought the opposite would happen beforehand.

I think I underestimated him.

same here! but then i realized that he's been producing during his pentagon days and he's pretty much the center(??) of ptg so yep.

I hadn't listened to him or Pentagon at all but I bought both their singles to be supportive and listening now I appreciate his symbolism and lyricism. Wishing him luck in the same way I wish Hyuna luck!!

yo this is a yg-artist reject and you can not tell me otherwise! everything about this just screams yg
dior_chic 5th-Nov-2019 12:53 pm (UTC)
It really does. I like the lyrics but the actual sound is so unappealing to me, because it does sound like a typical YG guy song

to all those who tell us money doesn't buy happiness; gimme your money and I'll judge for myself.
nana_the_dwarf 5th-Nov-2019 02:03 pm (UTC)
Lmao, right?
bauci 5th-Nov-2019 12:06 pm (UTC)
This is really good!!! The lyrics are so on point, i can imagine this getting really popular. As for visuals- he's such an odd waif but it works.
tokyocinema 5th-Nov-2019 02:26 pm (UTC)
this was explosive and really good
not sure how replayable it is, but I really liked and the story he told, or that I THINK he told.

Reading the lyrics through the second time, it seems really clear that it’s a personal story about him being conflicted over having to choose between the money that would come in if he stayed in Pentagon and his relationship with Hyuna and obviously, in the end, he chose Hyuna over financial security (i mean of course he would, at that point they were together for two, three years)

or maybe there’s zero meaning and my sleep deprivation is kicking *in we’ll see 👍🏾

He writes meaningful lyrics. As I said above, its like a continuation of "Organic Song" which he performed in Pentagon Maker. I don't know if its directly related to what happened to Pentagon-Hyuna before. It is possible. I don't really know. Still, I think the message of the song is really something.
modestgoddess79 5th-Nov-2019 02:32 pm (UTC)
quality lyrics
xoxkenzxox 5th-Nov-2019 04:40 pm (UTC)
not an aesthetic I like. not a sound I like. I'm not a fan of that "talk-singing" thing that seems to be popular.

Whatever makes him happy I guess.
rosevael 5th-Nov-2019 04:48 pm (UTC)
King. Serving young Leo aesthetic. Love him..
pinklunacy 5th-Nov-2019 06:37 pm (UTC)
I really like this. It's not so much about his voice but more about everything else?? idk, he's got a very distinctive aura, and combined with the aesthetics of the MV and the message of the song, it really got to me.

I get the YG comparison though. imo, he's got a certain GD air about him (and I don't mean anything bad about that, GD has released some great things!)
paige_nevaeh 5th-Nov-2019 07:06 pm (UTC)
I’m intrigued! I preferred this one to Hyuna’s (surprisingly). I’ll have to go back and read the lyrics as only listened to the audio.

Capitalist genius XD Those two are smart af and make the scene a more thrilling and compelling place. I love it.
veep_throat 5th-Nov-2019 08:14 pm (UTC)

hallyujah 6th-Nov-2019 04:52 am (UTC)
