Don't drink and stream: Drunk VIXX Hongbin flips the bird, talks shit about other idols and is sorry

VIXX Hongbin recently got drunk on his Twitch livestream (to celebrate his channels one year anniversary) and started doing things like flipping the bird to his viewers and saying not so flattering things about co-workers like Shinee, Exo, Red Velvet and Infinite. Realizing that that was not smart, he has ended up apologizing three times.

While watching SHINee’s performance of “Everybody,” and listening to a Digimon themesong he commented, “Who mixes this kind of idol music with band music? It sucks.”

"You wanna know something cute? SM teaches you everything from every gesture to every move. There will be someone that teaches you the gestures and someone that doesn’t. They break down each person. But we (VIXX) produce everything ourselves."

While watching EXO‘s “Wolf,” he states that the ones who remain are the ones who win.

“I’m sorry but I’ve always been a vampire and these people (EXO) were wolves. It was always funny to me because vampires always won. In history, the people who remain are the ones who win. In modern day, when comparing who will win between vampires (VIXX) and wolves (EXO), I think its vampires. Try and keep up. Ah~sad to say that there is no one that can keep up to us. I mean there is no one from the wolves that can keep up.”

Red Velvet

While listening to a Red Velvet remix of "Red Flavour" he criticizes them for their strong color of music.

“Ew This is too much of a mania level (otaku-ish) it’s too idol-like. The color is too strong. Don’t you know what mass appeal means? YouTube is mass appeal since everyone watches it but your choice was a failure.”

While watching INFINITE’s “Be Mine” he comments that he would have beaten the choreographer for the routine.

"Wow… Personally, I would have beaten the choreographer for that routine. What is that… That’s a cool song. Why would anyone choreograph that kind of dance to such a cool part?"

A few hours after the initial broadcast, he held another live broadcast to apologize. He then wrote an apology on his Instagram

A few hours after the initial broadcast, Hongbin held another (2 hour long) live broadcast to apologize. He said, “I didn’t say those things to demean any group. I tried to differentiate between my live broadcast and my work as an idol. I’m sorry. I made a mistake. I said those things as a fan, thinking, ‘They could have looked much cooler,’ but I think it makes sense that their fans are angry. I didn’t think that far.”

He added that the remarks that were pointed out were only a small portion of the broadcast, saying, “I didn’t want to talk about my main job during my personal broadcast. That’s why I made negative comments about those songs, the songs of people I know. I think that those who are speaking [about the controversy] haven’t seen my previous broadcasts.”

VIXX Hongbin says that he was "short-sighted" "It was a mistake" "I harmed other people" "Everything was indeed my mistake, sorry" "Sorry for making a fuss" and apologized. He didn't excuse his words because of alcohol saying "I should be more careful when I drink" and regretted.

In the middle of his apology broadcast, Hongbin left his seat to go outside for a few minutes. When he returned, he explained, “An employee from my agency came. They told me to just leave the team if I’m going to be like this. I think that makes sense. If my team tells me to leave, I’ll leave. Please don’t criticize my team. I made the mistake, not them.”

Why didn't you write about the things that he said after that? After all this, he was telling people to swear at him and go sleep, he's got the temper
> "If you swear at someone sleep will come easier~ I know I made a mistake, so since your mood is ruined, I hope you sleep well while swearing at me~" this is what Hongbin said, he told the viewers to not view him maliciously but anyone who hears those words would think that he's just sarcastic about hurting the fans and the artists. Why does he have to mention that he will quit his group? In the end he's creating more damage against his members than anything elseㅋㅋㅋ

What's even funnier about this guy is that in the past, he was asked whether there was someone he wanted to perform with and he said "Taemin sunbaenim!" what bullsh*tㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Why must you touch Shinee of all the people you could touch... Goodbyeㅋㅋ

3. [+282, -4]
Why are you only writing about the things he apologized for?... After that he was talking about people swearing at him and talking about how scary the world is and the entire content became so sarcasticㅋㅋㅋㅋ ... I watched the beginning to the end of his video and he was going back and forth with his words, it's a fact that he has quite the nerve

1. [+915, -4] The choreographer for 'Be Mine' is named Hongbin and he's probably more famous than this Hongbin

2. [+650, -4] It's not only SHINee and INFINITE that he put down but he also made remarks about beating EXO, how Red Velvet's popularity is dropping, and all sorts of ridiculous statements. Too bad no one even knows who he is ㅋㅋㅋ I'd want to drink too if I was being paid $10 to do handstands while my peers were making way more. Even his apology stream was a load of crap. Just retire from the industry and run your own third rate business.

After apologizing through his live broadcast, VIXX’s Hongbin took to his Instagram to post a written apology.

"Hello. This is Lee Hong Bin (Hongbin).
I sincerely apologize to the artists and the fans of those artists who were hurt by my improper words and actions from my previous late-night live broadcast.
I also apologize to the VIXX members and fans for causing them to worry.
There is no room for excuse. No matter what reason it was for, I am deeply reflecting on acting carelessly and not thinking deeply.
I once again bow my head in apology to those who were disappointed by me.
I will take care to ensure that something like this does not happen again, and I will reflect on myself. I am truly sorry."

[netizen]1. [+2,348, -24] Just leave the group since you're basically kicked out of the industry for the rest of your life. Your idol career is over.

2. [+2,187, -20] It's always the nugu members who end up causing scandals for the group

3. [+1,648, -22] Time to go down a decline

Following that apology, Jellyfish posted an official apology.

"Hello. This is Jellyfish Entertainment.

Our artist Lee Hong Bin has caused great pain and concern to other artists and their fans with the words and behavior he showed during his personal live broadcast. We bow our heads in apology.

We also sincerely apologize to the fans who support VIXX and Hongbin.

We feel responsible about our artist’s words and actions and are reflecting on ourselves. We will pay closer attention to the management of our artists so that this kind of issue does not arise again.

Once again, we apologize for causing concern.

Thank you.

March 3, 2020
From, Jellyfish Entertainment."

His group members Leo and Ravi have also apologized for the incident.

Following the original broadcast, Leo took to his personal Twitter account to write to fans and say, “Dream sweet dreams with your hearts at ease. My muses, I’m sorry.”

Ravi also took to his personal Instagram account to share a post in which he spoke to fans about his first solo album, and touched upon the remarks Hongbin had made. His post reads as follows:

"I worked hard because it was a stage I had wanted to show you in person, but I hope you were able to feel happiness seeing [the stages] through broadcasted shows. I had wanted to create many good memories with you in various places, but the situation didn’t allow for it and that makes me sad. However, there are still so many shows I’ve yet to be on and concerts I’ve yet to hold, so don’t think of this as the end, please don’t say goodbye to my precious first album “El Dorado” just yet, and please enjoy and treasure it a lot. I miss you so much. I love you.

My wish is that for many people, including myself, the thought is deeply embedded within us that there is no one higher or lower when it comes to the arts, and that we must not tear down someone’s tears and passion so easily. I wish to sincerely apologize to all those who have been hurt."
