The rapper's agency P NATION said she had taken a supporting role in the upcoming series to break into acting for the first time in her 15-year music career.
The sitcom will revolve around a couple ― played by Sung Dong-il and Jin Hee-kyung ― who run a share house for people working for an airline. The story is about how the housemates with different jobs come together as a family.
Jessie will play a feisty neighbor who is incompetent in Korean. Her character will be a rival of one of the housemates Ji-suk, played by Seo Ji-seok.
The rapper debuted in 2005 as a member of hip-hop group UpTown, but has been a solo act since her first solo album "The Rebirth" in 2009.
She was thrust into the spotlight after competing in rap competition TV show "Unpretty Rapstar" in 2015. Since then, she has appeared in numerous reality shows along with her music career, including "Sister's Slam Dunk" (2016) and "Target: Billboard ― KILL BILL" (2019).
