Flashback Friday

It is Friday. I had to double check. Anyways, every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. Today we’re going back to the 4th week of April, 2015. Some of the songs have been posted before, so this time we’ll see some comeback stages.

#3 Miss A “Only You”
This was the lead single off of the group’s “Colors” EP. It was their first release since 2013, and would end up being their last release before disbandment. It wasn’t my favorite song from the group, but I thought they all looked so pretty this era. I really liked the styling. The song would debut at the top spot and the album in the top three.

#2 EXID “Ah Yeah”
Just a few short months after “Up & Down” shot back up the charts after Hani’s viral fancam, the group released this song. Smart move, because they just kept on promoting and gettiting more and more popular. The song would chart well and win a bunch of trophies on the music shows.

#1 J.Y. Park featuring Jessi “Who’s Your Mama?”
5 years later and I still can’t get through this video. I have yet to see/hear Jessi’s part lol. So much cringe and contradictory to the lyrics, not much booty. I remember also being annoyed with him for this because he put it out just two weeks after Miss A’s comeback. Like, he’s the boss and he could have let them have a moment after their two year hiatus, but he released this and kicked them off the #1 spot.

Honorable Mentions

#7 EXO “Call Me Baby”

“Call Me Baby” was the lead single from the group’s second album, “Exodus”. It was released while the group was starting their second world tour. I only remember one move from the choreography, just ONE single move wtf lol. The song would win a total of 18 music show wins. It looks like Miss A and EXO made their Music Core comebacks on the same day. Fun day at MBC.

#9 Block B Bastarz “Zero For Conduct”

This was the debut single from Block B’s first unit group featuring U-Kwon, B-Bomb, and P.O. Their former bandmate, Zico produced the song, and it debuted in the top ten on the charts. The only thing I remember from this song is the chorus. I quite like the chorus. I don’t remember anything else though. There’s a lot going on in the MV, and everything’s flashing by so fast lol.
