Monsta X's Kihyun donates to charity for low-income girls and teenagers

Kihyun of Monsta X has made a charitable donation to support girls and teenagers from low-income families in Korea.

On January 18, the international relief NGO Good Neighbors disclosed that Kihyun has made a donation of 10 million KRW (approx. 9,000 USD) to their organization. The donation was made to Good Neighbors' campaign for distributing essential supply kits, including feminine hygiene products, to low-income girls and teenagers.

Monsta X previously donated 100 million KRW (approx. 91,000 USD) last March through Good Neighbors towards the support of vulnerable communities in the Daegu / Kyungbuk region following the widespread local outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The group and their official fanclub Monbebe have been registered into the organization's high-donor roster "The Neighbors Club" in recognition of their generous contributions and positive influence.

Kihyun accompanied his donation with the following comment: "The support of our fans presented us with many meaningful awards at the end of the year, and I was inspired to donate as a means of sharing that joy. I hope I can provide even a little bit of support to help children in need stay healthy during such difficult times."

Good Neighbors' director of marketing Hwang Sungjoo further stated, "We want to express our gratitude to Monsta X's Kihyun for his contribution to protecting children who are enduring a very cold season due to the extreme weather and the Covid-19 pandemic."
