Guitar prodigy and YouTube sensation Jung Sung-ha has been invited to perform at a special charity concert with producer David Foster at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.
The 13-year-old guitarist was the only Korean musician invited to "An Evening with Childhelp featuring David Foster," which will be held Tuesday evening (Eastern Standard Time). First lady Michelle Obama will be a special guest at the gala event.
The concert is part of Childhelp's 50th anniversary celebration. Childhelp is a charity committed to preventing and treating child abuse in the U.S. and around the world.
Jung will be sharing the stage with famous producer David Foster and popular artists such as Patti LaBelle, Brian McKnight, Charice and former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard.
The concert will be taped for broadcast on BET and Centric Broadcasting Networks in the U.S.
On his Web site, Jung said his dream is to be a professional acoustic fingerstyle guitarist. He uses a top-of-the-line Lakewood A48CP guitar.
Jung first attracted attention for his YouTube videos, where he plays acoustic guitar arrangements of popular songs by U2, Extreme, The Beatles and Eric Clapton. Since 2006, he has uploaded over 240 video clips on YouTube, which have been viewed over 110 million times.
