The teaser video is out for Coffee House, the SBS drama formerly known as Page One, and it’s not half bad. You can’t judge much from a brief 40 seconds, of course, but it looks fun. Also: Kang Ji-hwan! (On a Segway! lolwut?)
This is the first we’ve seen of Kang since his legal dispute with his former management company, and he plays the main character, a bestselling author. He has a romantic storyline with a publishing executive, who is played by Park Shi-yeon (and also, it appears, with former child actor and current girl group member Eun-jung, who plays an employee of the Page One cafe that plays a large role in the story).
I have to say I like this version of Park Shi-yeon a lot more compared to the chic, upscale image she usually portrays. (Oh, she does look the part of those elegant ladies but the acting here seems much more engaging — her character looks like she’s got quite the temper.) And Eun-jung looks cute and natural. I’m not getting too excited just yet, but I am looking forward to it. (Kang! Ji! Hwan!)
Coffee House will air on Mondays and Tuesdays in the earlier hour, to follow Oh My Lady. It premieres May 17.
