Seoul Police charged well-known singer Lee Seung-chul for drunk driving without detention Monday.
The police said Lee was drunk driving in his Cadillac and caught by the police inspection around 1 a.m. on Nov. 15. His blood alcohol level was 0.125 percent.
Lee said in the police interview that he had five glasses of beer with his colleagues. It was reported that he had a passenger in his car, but the person’s identity remains unknown.
“He returned home after he was questioned and charged for drunk driving,” a police official said. “His license will be revoked.”
Lee recently gained media attention as one of the three-member jury for the Superstar K2 talent show that was broadcast on Mnet cable network last month, gaining record viewer ratings.
