Jiyeon (Lil J), the main rapper for VNT, has announced her departure from the group through her personal Twitter on March 21st.
VNT is known as a talented rookie group produced by Kim Chang Hwan, the “Midas Hand” of the industry, under his company, Media Line.
Upon reading this message, fans started wondering if she was trying to say she is leaving VNT. They hoped that they were simply misinterpreting her message.
But then soon after, Lil J removed her “VNT” and “Lil J” folders from her Cyworld. And now her Cyworld is no longer accessible at /vnt_lilj but instead /parkjirang. This may seem like no big deal at first, but when members leave their groups, it is common to change their social accounts from their group name to their own name. Past examples include Wonder Girl’s SunMi who left WG and went from the Twitter account @WGMimi to @mimimimi0502, and Girl’s Day member Jiin who switched from @Dreamtea_Jiin to @jiin313.
Do you think fans are making a big deal out of nothing or do you think it’s possible Lil J really is going to leave VNT?
