T-ara to become 7~9 members, including replacing members

Core Contents Media's CEO Kim Kwangsoo announced that there will be a big change coming in April. Revealed today, the current seven member group could become eight or nine. Whether it's an addition of members, or replacing members, is not yet decided.

The purpose isn't to remove or to add but to give the members who give effort and display their skills more opportunities through activities. This is intended to introduce the principle of a competition so the opportunities aren't given to the members who are prideful and lazy.

Kim Kwangoo commented, "I've had 30 years of experience and have done much with singers starting as rookies. After three years as activities as a singer, pride and laziness is effected. Stress becomes a bigger deal and it gets harder. You can't win the competition with this type of mindset. This is what has ruined a lot of singers. If there's no effort or there is no singing skills, the members will not be given parts (measures) to sing."

Kim Kwangsoo also that to take T-ara onto another level and in order to develop the group further, T-ara's music style and concepts will change, including the group members. More information will be released on April 7th.

Meanwhile, T-ara will create a fanclub and hold a concert in July.

Why is he trying to turn them against each other?

Why does this guy hate his own group so much.

These girls are being pressured after being overworked for a long time. What do they have to do to actually deserve some relaxing time without being mentally or physically pressured?

This is a rather unnecessary move CCM.

i've said it before and i'd say it again. i love how almost every single article about them is about how much rest they get or not but it's not like there's alot of posts about the work that they are supposedly doing. and now that they are taking a break they're going to get kicked out of the band for being lazy. LMAO.
threebits 15th-Mar-2012 06:21 am (UTC)
idk you don't really make articles about them attending press conferences and photoshoots, no one would read that. but they really are very busy

i feel bad for these ladies for having such a douchebag of a ceo

announcing this model when nothing's confirmed just to seemingly get them scared for their jobs, especially when they're overworked as hell? you can miss me with that shit.

If Qri is kicked out I will seriously not even care anymore alkjfas

She's the first one I thought of when I read this. I will be all kinds of furious if they get rid of Qri. Maybe if they actually let her DO something, she'd shine like the wonderful princess she is.

icu, this is some nh media bullshit tbh.

Ugh, okay, I think I'm calm enough to make a comment now. The kind of company structure I hate the most is companies who treat their workers like interchangeable parts, like they're extremely easy to replace. Even if this kind of thinking is widespread, that doesn't make it right. If this move was made by the members themselves for internal reasons, that'd be a different story, but this just makes the CEO sound all kinds of shady.

Morever, how do you expect to maintain brand loyalty if you keep adding/subtracting members whenever you so please? Their musical style/concepts have undergone constant change since their debut, from Lies to Bo Peep to that one Britney-Spears sounding song to Roly Poly and Cry-Cry/Lovey-Dovey. I mean, they haven't stuck with a concept yet. As a listener, I don't even know what T-ara is about (compare SNSD, regardless of how talented they are, there's almost a linear path of how they developed). So to hear everything get shaken up again like this is just frustrating as hale.
soft_daisy 15th-Mar-2012 04:29 am (UTC)
this. i think you explained exactly why i stopped following t-ara a long time ago but am still a fan of snsd...well, of course snsd members seem to generally get along better too (won't compare their vocals in here)
erbalurbal 15th-Mar-2012 02:13 am (UTC)
This is messed up. They worked really hard since debut.
michiyo_mori 15th-Mar-2012 02:14 am (UTC)
I cannot express how much I do NOT want this to happen. :||||| Please leave my T-ara babies ALONE you slave driver. >:|
